oh just read @phling's posts. any reason you'd take the long haul trucker over the cross check? it was my first new commuter bike. has all the braze-ons for racks/fenders and can take up to crazy fat tires if you ever decide you wanna go that route. i had one for about 7 months before it got totaled. then i got a pacer thinking i wanted something sportier. wish i'd just gotten another cross check. i took mine on a couple of big rides (30+ and maybe a metric? but i was still pretty new to it and hadn't done many long rides yet) and i was able to keep up with the some of the hardcore dudes on carbon and 19mm tires clipped in just due to the fact that i was riding every day.

fuck. back down the rabbit hole. now i'm looking at new imported panasonic frames and small batch ti bikes. i don't need a bike >_< got some new pedals and cleats and a pump for christmas. switching from crankbros back to spds.

i was convinced lara dern was going to be a spy that was allowing them to be traced, which i imagine is what you were supposed to think. the way she acted like a dick with something made absolutely 0 sense. my story would've been better. i was also really worried at the end with luke that they were gonna make him do the cgi yoda thing and just like fly around flipping and cutting the walkers legs off. the astral projection thing was pretty cool at first blush but actually thinking about it really fucking stupid. oh and what he fuck was that hole thing?

yeah aca is fucking abysmal. and of course he also gets a tax penalty for not being able to afford $500 a month for insurance because why the fuck not? luckily my wife's employer is footing the bill for our insurance in 2018. was paying $800/mo for the two of us in 2017 and it was on deck to go up to $1k/mo in 2018. of course it's going to come out of her annual bonus but i think we're making more in the long run.

you playin' on xbox? the pc test server's been live with the new map for a few days. it feels like a totally different game. sucks that the lobbies seem to glitch out all the fuckin' time right now though. i can't seem to get into a lobby with my buddy more than once per day. hope that shit's sorted by the time 1.0 hits on the 20th. even just adding vaulting to the first map adds a whole new dimension to it.

that was really pretty bad. that bret gelman guy was absolutely insufferable and the chicago ep was really bad too. what a pointless non-ending too don't know why they felt the needed to double down on the bad sfx from the first season.

enemies can see/hear you from waaaaaaaaaay further away then you'd expect based on any other mgs. takes some getting used to for sure.

wife bought a switch. fuck me that mario game is great. have that and zelda, considering the bomberman and 1-2 switch as party games. really like playing with the two controllers separated and no wire like the wii nunchuck
