  1. I'm going to complete it in VR. I only play games for like an hour or an hour and a half nowadays anyways (except for when I was playing Demon's/Dark Souls). Happy to hear that it's great without VR, but it definitely isn't a gimmick. The immersion is real. I can only imagine how awesome the HTC and Oculus headsets (and touch controllers) are.

Resident Evil 7 has got its hooks in me.

    VR or reg?

Just the regular version. I don't have a PS4 but if I did I would definitely be interested in trying it out in VR. I'm not sure I'd be able to play more than a couple of minutes, because it's already scary enough.

Not gonna lie, I feel like a major pussy playing it in VR. I've never moved more slowly throughout a game in my life and literally have to collect myself before I open new doors. On top of that I find myself rationalizing taking breaks from the game a lot. Hopefully I'll acclimate soon like I have with Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, because right now I'm acting like a little hoe.

Resident Evil 7 was a 10/10 for me. It was a blast. It may be my favorite one, up there with 1 and 4.

Well.. the first 2/3rds is a 10/10, The last third is like.. an 8.5/10.

My question to you...I don't have a VR yet..I wanna get it for this game.  Thus, I won't read/watch any reviews, or see gameplay beyond what they showed in 2016's E3.  Would you suggest playing RE7 with VR or is TV just good enough?

I just got PS VR yesterday and I love it. It's a huge difference from just playing it on TV and I would definitely recommend it. It would be wise to at least try VR before you buy it for a good 15 minutes just to see how you react to it. I haven't gotten sick at all but some people are pretty sensitive to it apparently. I haven't had a game scare the shit out of me like this, ever. The only downside to VR is it's slightly blurry and has a bit of a screen door effect but once you start playing you really won't notice. I played the beginning hour demo on my tv just for comparison and now I'm playing it in VR and I would never go back. With the headphones on you really do get lost inside the game. Another thing you'll appreciate waaaaay more in VR is the level design. Now you'll be able to actually move your head and peer into a microwave to inspect the dead crow that was stuffed inside it, And when you hear footsteps coming from the floor above you as dust falls from the ceiling it really makes you feel like you're almost really there.

I'm still trying to beat the demo but I managed to secure a copy of RE7 today. Can't speak for the game itself yet but if the demo is of any indication how good it actually is this is going to be insane. I was a bit skeptical of VR at first but not any longer, if this isn't a legit game changer then I have no idea what actually could be.

  4. Is RS really a collaboration?  Why we not hear anything from the elusive partner?   :P

Rolando Simmons started as a collaboration between Mattias and his brother until his brother stopped making music and became focused on motorcycles or something if I recall correctly. I would be interested to hear the other brother's music as well.

  5. Musically how much of this are you responsible for?

I would be terrified of doing cleans for music that sounds that grandiose in scale. Anyways, from what little I've heard it sounds very good, and I love the contrast between the parts in the preview as well. It also seems to have the synths playing a prominent position, which is a rare and welcome change from everything being drowned out by guitars, drums and vocals. Hope it's well-received man. Congrats on the new album.

  6. Sorry for the self-promotion, but I have an album coming out in a day or two which is basically the result of me listening almost exclusively to prog metal for the past year.. bits of inspiration from Periphery, Scar Symmetry, Metallica, Devin Townsend and of course Genesis..

and oh yeah it's my first real 'serious' attempt at including my own vocals on a Pselodux album..

Sounds ambitious. [shil] Where will it be available? [/shill], and just out of curiosity will there be any clean singing?
