African HeroRats detect landmines.
Using positive reinforcement behavior that is respectful of the animals, African pouched rats are taught to identify the explosives, receiving treats for their efforts. After months of training, the rats are set a test and accredited as HeroRats if they pass.
The pouched rats are perfect for the job; intelligent with a keen sense of smell, they are small enough not to trigger mines and large enough to be easily identifiable in the field. No rat has been killed in a minefield.
The rats can clear two hundred square meters in just 20 minutes. It would take humans with metal detectors five days to cover the same area.
The rats live for up to eight years, but retire after six and live out their twilight years eating avocados, apples and bananas, and being regularly patted by their handlers. -
Blank Banshee is part of what's known as vaportrap (I'm sure you can work out why). This by Hong Kong Express is an excellent one, very much on the dream end of the genre, away from the corporate stock music / 80s pop end of things. In that area I'd also recommend both albums by Remember, Tokyo Audio 3000 by Air Japan, 2814's Birth of a New Day, almost anything by telepath, New Tokyo Blue Mood by Subaeris, both albums by Immune, Mana Pool by Vaperror, Overgrowth by Oscob & Digital Sex. Almost all of which is on Dream Catalogue.

Literally just discovered this genre last week, mainly into death's dynamic shroud so far (this guy is amazing); don't have a top albums list yet but maybe check out Dream Catalogue ... probably this is obvious

How to say this without coming across as a criticism or insult to the main man Aleksi...
It is an amazing sequence, but I won't be sad when the last one arrives. The pallette used is growing a little familiar to my ears and i'd like to hear something a bit different from him.
Yeah, some great songs have come out of this but it is feeling a bit samey.
