  1. Good things cause I was wondering if it was the same version when I first saw the post!
  2. I know this has been said many times before, but was wondering how rdj will react to this... http://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2016/03/07/breaking-soundcloud-subscription-service-6-9-months-away/ You think he'll just look for another platform?
  3. Do you guys think the SC era is over? I have a feeling he won't be posting anything there anymore... :(
  4. It already was pressed on vinyl by Grant probably somewhere in the early 00's, but Squarepusher was very opposed to releasing it. That's what Philie-T said in this thread (an insider) a while ago (as well as confirming it's a track by Squarepusher). I'm still leaving the option open of it being a collab because at one point Aphex said it's earmarked for release, but yeah, Squarepusher. Btw, Cylob played two other tracks of that exact acid white label too, in this set from 2003: http://www.percussionlab.com/sets/cylob/live_on_kando_fm_2003 If I recall correctly, Squarepusher played all three (!) tracks at the Warp20 gig, a gig he announced as him digging through his old unreleased tracks archive. He even segways one of those Cylob acid white label tracks into the "Sonar" track. And I know about the yes & no post Aphex made on soundcloud regarding that thread, but everyone interprets that completely different so it's pretty much a useless statement. #TeamSquarepusher I understand what you're saying (didn't know about Phillie-T's remark, thanks for that). Still can't help but wonder why rdj would post something like that then... Anyway, hope that one way or another the track will be released, simply because it's fucking great. Don't care who releases it...
  5. And let's not forget the Sonar track which he stated was earmarked for release... I really hope he's going through with that, that track really deserves to be pressed on some good fat vinyl!!!
  6. yep Actually do not agree with this... To me this is perfectly Aphex... the drums remind me of AB tracks, the melodies on this are so fucking great remind me of rdj album and AB ep's (like for instance AB5's A1 track), melodies that bring vast horizons visions to my mind every single time... Maybe the only thing is the minimalistic approach to the song that could be doubted (and even this wouldn't be that surprising since at the time he was making music with Glass) about but other than that... It's pure Aphex genius.
  7. Thanks for all your effort, hopefully the tracks will come back. I oticed the You Belong to Me track is not in the voting list yet. Somehow I had missed that one too, wonder when he uploaded that one. If I have everything correct it should be 267 tracks in total (that is inluding the ones he deleted in the beginning, girl/boy dark version and can't remember the other one) so there should be 265 tracks on the voting site...
  8. Same here, seeing 247 but no new track... Does this mean you can upload tracks on SC without making them public? Otherwise it would've had to be first in the list of Tracks, right?
  9. He took down all 3 Casio Sample Cassettes. Maybe copyright issues? He did say he had nearly finished a track using the voice + samples, maybe that has something to do with it. Hopefully it's the second of the two.
  10. The tracks are down to 246 at this point, haven't spotted the ones he took down though... I wonder why he is taking things down?
  11. Ok this is a repost, for the simple fact it didn't get enough love the first time. It's one of my fav aphex tracks, and this cover gives me the same chills as the original. description: This is one of my favorite songs of all time, plus I like to sing, so it was only natural to try and sing it myself :) Everything you hear is coming from my mouth, some of it modulated to get it into the appropriate octave. No click tracks or quantization of any kind.
  12. I would really love that! I gotta say this sc dump is just so great, still listening to a lot of the tracks... So grateful still!!!
  13. Ohhh shit, i never paid much attention to that... HAHA real cool, thanks!
  14. New interesting comment on the boxenergy track on sc, what's the story behind this hip hop remix, did it leak on the net or something?: Dear Richard, could you please upload this track: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bccB_SCvkHI ? Thank you. 15. Yes, if you believe the rare AFX blog. I asked the guy behind the blog and he said this: I was close to Rephlex many years back so got a few bits and pieces... During the Syro release they also posted about this on their site and on Reddit, etc.: In celebration of the new SYRO album, RareAFX will link to 2 never-before-heard AFX recordings. Afaik they've yet to upload the second track, or Aphex beat them to it with the dump. Not sure. The edit is good though, solid, minimal and very effective. You should ask him on SC. By the way, just came back from two days with no possibility to check Soundcloud, man what a surprise this track is. So nice to come back to this! Thanks Richard!!!
  16. Anyone else get a sc notification about an ambient playlist on sc? when I tried clikcing it it didn't work, maybe got deleted right away...
  17. As in these are not exciting times? I feel as excited with every track he uploads... Plus he has released a new ep in the meantime!!! That would be a very negative read on my statement. I probably refresh the SC page 5-10 times a day on non-updating days. my bad!
  18. As in these are not exciting times? I feel as excited with every track he uploads... Plus he has released a new ep in the meantime!!!
  19. Where are those shazam comments anyway? I haven't seen any of them...
  20. Yeah, same here. This is the track I meant when I mentioned "circlont6a", which is also fucking killer start to finish. There's an abrupt section change somewhere in the middle that always bugs me, but the track resumes its badassery so quickly that I'm quick to forget it. Love the drum programming in that one. It's crazy to think he can bring all these parts together in one take. My assumption with a track this complex is that there must be a ton of edits. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see how this was done. How cool would it be if he would stream the live recording process for some tracks of his next album... RDJ or WARP: if you see this please get it done :) Think I might ask him on Soundcloud!
