The Syro track is definitely my favourite track. It took me a while to get in to it, but man, what a diversity there is in that track. The Circlont14 track is probably my second fav, just for one reason, the break at around 3:00 min, the voice is so soothing and when the drums come back in I just lose it every single time...

Great to come back from a festival end see new sc tracks popping up. Katiacid is just an instant classic! Yeah, I'd like a download for that too! Anyone?

Same here. It has gotten so bad, that I'm even ashamed to answer my gf asking me what's on the radio in my car. It's always the same answer. Just something I want to point out, on the main page of the watmm site it says we can vote on the TOP 20 tracks instead of top 30... :)

Not really. The official page isnt as active. The amount of activity stemming from the "user" page spreads much wider on soundcloud by people makign playlists and sharing and commenting on songs. I personally know people who signed up for soundcloud just because of this cump (only 2 but whatev). rare and exciting things are being offered up on the "user" page and because of this I think more people want to be notified of when it updates. Confession: I dont follow the official page EDIT: lol and theres an update ont he official! Good point!

Does anyone else find it weird that the official Aphex Twin sc page has 2000 less followers then the user18081971 page? Do 2000 people not know it's him?

Unless you've seen this on SC I don't believe it. it's not there anymore at the moment (probably never has), same as the previous comment about the 800+ tracks.

I was looking for a thread about Petiatil Cx Htdui which i just LOVE, definitely my fav Aphex piano track. Then I saw this comment, anyone have more info about it? Hey that was me from years ago. I seem to remember a couple of people reporting back on here and on xltronic (or aphextwin.nu?) about the set more or less straight afterwards but no boots emerged. I think he played SAWII tracks with beats as well. Seems a little more likely in these post soundcloud days that we might eventually hear some of these alt. versions at some point. Thanks for your reply, hopefully they'll surface somewhere...

Yes, i think it had an effect on the number of followers on his SC page aswell. Went up by a bit in a very short amount of time. before last week it wasn't that quick.

I seriously doubt this. He could just as easily have released all of these tracks if he wanted to and make much more money. I don't think releasing these tracks on SC will get him more sales on future records. Only the die hard fans buy music without first listening to it. I think this way is the most basic way of showing the industry that it's all about the tunes like you state. I would think this is the way to bypass the whole industry charade...
