    oh what the fuck.. they finished counting the in person ballots and will start counting again tomorrow morning. ugh. painful. makes me nervous. there better be a fuckin tank outside the building and 50 cops. i have a friend from reno and his parents live there.. said the trumpers are going bananas protesting everywhere.

    they did get out the message on him pretty early and trashed him leading up to and during the primaries. but americans seem to always vote against their self interests.

    well, black people in the south supported biden heavily over sanders and other candidates in the primary and that kind of sealed the deal. also, young people didn't come out to vote for sanders. he got more votes of young people but biden got some and most people over 40 voted for biden in the primaries. so, ratfuckery aside, biden got more votes by far. i'd have loved a bernie candidacy but it'd be tough slog against trump. bernie would have to sell his message harder than anyone and it would've been tough during covid. a lot of boomers don't like bernie and there is such rapid paralyzing fear of bernie amongst right leaning voters and GOP voters. the "he's socialist" thing stuck really hard.

    there are a couple states that split the electoral votes proportionally but they're the exception not the rule. it's dumb. we should get rid of the electoral college. it was set up by the ruling class when the constitution was written to ensure the "plebs" didn't take over.

    MSNBC stated that Biden received the most votes ever in a presidential election. too bad about that electoral college though.

    yep. PA, Michigan and Wisconsin apparently will go on through the night.

    it's different in every state though. some started counting mail in ballots a week or two ago. other states count in person ballots first then the mail in ballots after so it's 50/50. will be close but really i have a hard time seeing biden pull it off. could be but it's gonna be down to the wire.

    some states won't start counting the early/mail in ballots until 11pm. won't have idea of winner until 5am or so unless the in person votes are so overwhelming. anyway.. I wonder who will win the contract to drill for oil in Arches National Park?
