  2. https://www.axios.com/barr-voter-fraud-investigation-doj-official-resigns-402d05f4-f913-48bc-a0fa-503159216543.html Richard Pilger, a Department of Justice official who oversees investigations of voter crimes, stepped down from his role Monday after Attorney General Bill Barr authorized U.S. attorneysto probe alleged elections fraud, the New York Times first reported. Pilger states in his email to colleagues, also obtained by the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the new DOJ policy is "abrogating the forty-year old Non-Interference Policy for ballot fraud investigation in the period prior to elections becoming certified and uncontested." For the record: Pilger stated, "Having familiarized myself with the new policy and its ramifications … I must regretfully resign from my role as Director of the Election Crimes Branch." He has been director of the Election Crimes Branch of the Department of Justice since 2010 and will now "move to a nonsupervisory role working on corruption prosecutions," per the NYT.
  3. it's what he's done constantly. just repeat the lie long enough and it becomes true. or it becomes true for his followers. the narrative is not random. sure, he throws stuff out to see what sticks but then he goes w/it and doesn't stop. i mean.. it's what's happened all the time but he does it effectively.
  4. I'd also argue that the social distancing rules have proved stressful. he's been going through withdrawal since he hasn't been able to sniff the hair of random women since january.
  5. Biden doesnt have a minor stutter. he has a major stutter. Having to practice in front of a mirror speaking every word and sounding them out. Pronouncing all syllables of words in an even paced way. there's stories about how bad it was when he was a kid. in that pbs frontline "the choice" a couple stories are recounted. it's early on in the show so you don't have to sit through the entire thing. https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/the-choice-2020-trump-vs-biden/
  6. so now that the sec of defense has been fired i wonder if the insurrection act will be invoked and drumpf will flood cities with federal troops? Barr already gave authorization for federal prosecutors to investigate claims of voter fraud in every city. hysteria. the sec of defense who was fired was the guy who was outspoken about not invoking the insurrection act and not sending federal troops into cities.. so maybe the new guy is a "yes man" and we're all fucked. cats and dogs sleeping together etc etc. trump will keep moving ahead with his baseless lawsuits that will hopefully get thrown out quickly, his cult will protest, he won't concede, he'll head to mar a lago and won't go to biden's inauguration. bummer about the transition though. w/o the person appointed signing off it slows everything down and causes confusion and inefficiency. fuck these fucking wankers. fuck them one and all. this is the asshole of the moment. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-11-09/trump-gets-help-again-from-appointee-holding-up-biden-transition Emily W. Murphy, the Trump-appointed administrator of the General Services Administration, has not yet declared Joe Biden as the apparent winner of the presidential election, a decision that would unlock millions of dollars in transition funding but contradict Trump’s unfounded assertion that he won.
  7. X4 is classic. it's like 2 songs at once. heady. masterful
  8. ha! it's funny as i'm usually the grammar snob or grammar snoot. i was doing that unconsciously through muscle memory i think. At a previous job a coworker and I kept a list of not real words that people use all the time. supposevely, boughton, irregardless (though webster added this to the dictionary i think).. i think there were 10 or so. Also, things like shouldn't have or should've.. when people type "should of" etc.. that shit makes me crazy. anyway, i will be more of aware of lots from here on out.
  9. https://truthout.org/articles/trump-plans-obituary-readings-at-rallies-to-support-false-claims-of-voter-fraud/ President Donald Trump, unwilling to concede an election loss to President-elect Joe Biden, is reportedly planning to hold campaign-style rallies in support of his push to dispute the outcome of last week’s contest. Those rallies, per reporting from Axios, are set to include Trump reading off names from newspaper obituaries, alleging that those individuals had voted in the election even though they were dead.

  11. they're already hooked. saw a guy yesterday on the local news who was part of some patriot prayer protest in salem, OR and he said "we want the truth we think this is fishy and we wan tot look into it. we're tired of people saying there was no fraud because it was sooooooo obvious" lols. so ridiculous. saw interview about today on PBS news hour and they had a couple of non-partisan election experts on.. one wrote a book about the 2000 Bush V Gore case. He said something like "it's absurd. there's no fraud. these people are alleging a multi state conspiracy including states with republican governors and republican legislatures and what really makes no sense is there are states where republicans gained seats in the house or republicans were re-elected but somehow this conspiracy only affected the presidential race and not the votes down ballot" it's all idiotic lunacy. sour grapes. conservative tears etc. the guy went on to say he had spoken to james baker who was bush's guy sent in to handle the 2000 case. that case is totally different than this election. that case was about a recount. the vote was close there were the chads etc.. and the the recount happened but then the dems wanted a hand recount and that's when the republicans said "nah" and took it to court.
  12. where is mike pence? has he gone to pray with mother in the prayer closet? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-election-2020/where-is-mike-pence-twitter-trump-b1700774.html Whereas he appeared on the campaign trail with Donald Trump right up to the eve of election day, Mike Pence has kept a low profile in public since the results began filtering in – and even as the Trump administration fought back hard against indications the president was losing. And the day after the race was called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the vice president’s public schedule appeared to be empty. He has not tweeted since the race was called. At the time of writing, this makes him somewhat unusual among the president’s allies.
  13. idk.. i think those talking head types like their comfy pundit zone and audience. trucker carlson is the heir to the swansons frozen food fortune. he's as elite as they get when it comes to "elitist" americans and likely would get torn apart. but who knows.. we're in uncharted territory in a lot of ways.
  14. finding it really difficult not to make super snarky comments about this song. i mean, wtf so shrill vocals. the video is nice if i mute the song. planet dog F1 racing is something i'd watch.. but my god the choices they made for this song. i don't understand and will not try to.
  15. so, listened to an interview this morning about what trump is going to try to do. since part of the election certification process requires electors from states carrying it forward as well as congress agreeing on the results.. he's going to try and get support from members of congress and also try to sway republican electors. It's unlikely he'll get a case dealing with recounts to be heard in the supreme court but he'll keep trying. if he gets enough wackos to support him he could really make a mess of things. the person being interviewed said it's an unlikely narrow path but it's what he'll likely aim for. part of me thinks he's doing this to save face, raise money to cover debts and fleece his cult followers again and again. as he moves along through this process trying to rat fuck everything.. he acquires more people and institutions to blame and rope into his conspiracy bullshit for his followers to embrace.
  16. fuck https://www.yahoo.com/news/coronavirus-wave-152513366.html If anything, the virus appears to be strengthening, killing more than 1,000 Americans every day this week while recording more than 100,000 daily infections. More than 50,000 people across the nation are hospitalized. The share of coronavirus diagnostic tests coming back positive has risen to 8.2 percent this week; last week’s share of positive tests was a markedly lower 7.2 percent. “The numbers are pretty scary,” says Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor, taking stock of the national situation. As he was speaking to Yahoo News on Thursday, the nation was on its way to a record 133,000 new cases for that day. Hospitalizations have been rapidly climbing too, leading to concerns that we may once more see what we saw during the spring and early summer: crowded intensive care units, overwhelmed hospitals, deaths that could have been prevented. “It’s a slaughter,” Hotez said. “We’re going to have to take steps.”
