  1. slick and well done video about why evangelicals are fucking crazy and how they're funding settlers in west bank etc.
  2. i think that's all arguable and that's what she's doing. but whatever ymmv. maybe watch the whole video though ?
  3. here ya go. this is where ya turn to get cool the angst from jocks
  4. thats the first one i've seen and dude even post it on a forum "i released an album created w/Ai." ugh. "there's gonna be so much shit art" - already is but now it's gonna be people writing prompts thinking they have some special sauce. we all know the special sauce. anyway.. i took the opportunity in that thread to post those two Ai youtubes that take it all to task as the shitshow it is...
  5. and here we go https://uhuhtapes.bandcamp.com/album/a-i-explorations We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various

more spoilers. thoughtful analysis of things and the layers built in to the direction. it's a bit cynical at times but thoughtful
  7. Overtime winner from last night. the guy who scored this goal has 5 OT winners in the playoffs in his career in only 14 OT games. there's 6 other players on that list but w/many more games. dude is clutch in the playoffs. anyway.. nice goal. he out waits the goalie then backhand roofs it. i don't think he meditates but he could?.. experience and muscle memory. kinda ridiculous goal.
  8. if you make grilled cheese sandwich... before you put the cheese on the bread put a bit of apple butter or your favorite jam (something tart works well but apple butter has a different kick) on the bread then put the cheese on then put it in the pan.. you'll get a nice mix of savory salty buttery bread with melted cheese and a touch of the jam flavor in there. works well w/aged white cheddar cheese and swiss. i just ate one made w/a bit of aged white cheddar and a bit of baby swiss w/apple butter on each slice of bread. it was quite good. i've also made it w/a thing layer of marion berry jam as well. quite good.
  9. I played baseball as a kid and got pretty good for a while until I got into bikes. Always liked playing the game. My mom absolutely loves baseball so when I visit her we watch. When I lived in miami I went to a bunch of marlins games including some of their first World Series games. Was pretty epic. Years later I found out my younger brother, who was with us at those games, was on acid at some of those games. I was impressed and had no idea. We had a good laugh. Baseball is very different. It’s pretty chill. The pitching is just insane these days. The placement is unreal. In 2005 I went to the local batting cages and my timing was so off I had to do a few rounds of softball lobs to hit. Then did the 40mph machine for a while and I felt so slow. Tried a few 70mph and what a laugh. Big whiffs. I have respect for the sport for sure. All sports really. if you like tennis you should read David foster Wallace tennis pieces. “How Tracy Austin broke my heart” which is his review of the autobiography of the same name. Here’s a link to a pdf in this Reddit post: he wrote several things on tennis that are great reads. His writings on sports are fantastic. He really breaks down so many aspects of whatever it is he’s writing about. Of course, a big part of infinite jest is set in a youth tennis camp. He captures athletes and sports in a very special way. Really gets into muscle memory and strategy and all that. But the thing about Tracy Austin’s book is incredible. He wrote a bunch of things for whatever the main tennis magazine was or is. Pete Sampras, Agassi etc.
  10. learning something that requires muscle memory and speed or some aspect of athleticism can be really fun and satisfying. skate boarding, ping pong, cycling, soccer.. tennis.. whatever.. there's a thing that happens where you're in the moment and not thinking. your brain kind of turns off because you're just making decisions. not that athletes are some kind of automatons but there's a different part of your brain being accessed or something in some sports when there's constant motion. and when that gets really intense.. like stanley cup playoffs.. it's awesome to watch. but i get not being into it. as a kid.. once i got into flatland freestyle bmx, team sports were dead to me.
  11. via the UN regarding mass graves https://news.un.org/en/story/2024/04/1148876 The development follows the recovery of hundreds of bodies “buried deep in the ground and covered with waste” over the weekend at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, central Gaza, and at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City in the north. A total of 283 bodies were recovered at Nasser Hospital, of which 42 were identified. “Among the deceased were allegedly older people, women and wounded, while others were found tied with their hands…tied and stripped of their clothes,” said Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
  12. also mark fell chat that is interesting.
  13. then make a new one edit: they should've made it w/cock and balls.
  14. it's stanley cup playoffs time. nothing compares to it. 2 months of insane hockey. best of 7 series x 4 to win. it's the best thing in teams sports imo. so fast and in the moment.
  15. Murder She Throat Rebel Poon Part One: Cock on Fire Rebel Poon Part Two: The Scargiver
  16. it's a conceptual thing meant to create emotion in people and a sense of fear/urgency. no one is pulling up this hand/table saw art at a climate conference to explain science/geo politics/human predicament. that being said.. a number of climate scientists are arguing that 2 degrees would a line up by the shoulder taking off the entire arm. basically saying 2 degrees will be catastrophic for a large number of people and larger number of wildlife edit: Shorter videos on specific people/places
  17. the memes can be fun some times but i hope jordan peterson's moment winds up soon.
  18. is it 60hz hum? or 50hz if you're not in america. if so that's a ground hum. sounds like the little grounding wire isn't connected. if that's not it it could be an issue in a few places. tone arm, stylus etc.
