Just saw him perform last Friday at the London Contmporary Music Festival. Lush to see him return to his Multistability era after a good few years concentrating on more 'contemporary' and non-electronic stuff.

Fuckin banging
Fell is probably my fave electronic musician after the autocray m8s so I thought it would be nice to share tracks and enthusiasm towards his u n i q u e a e s t h e t i c
Fucking love this man, thanks for filming it.
Atavism and Multistability were formative; Mark Fell and .snd are huge to me as well; this thread is important.
I always wondered what happened to Mat Steel, was actually going to ask you recently...horrible if true about the ear.

I just played these from 6 to 1 while studying. Just what I needed, they all worked on the right level as to be soothing for studying, with the exception of Pattern 1, which still good but a little more active imo.
Looking forward to hearing the next one.

@dform, yeah, i'll have to check that out. used a multiband compressor to mixed results as well...

I listened to ndy_prate very loudly, much louder than I listen to music most of the time and it filled my room with sound beautifully. i like how clear yet warm and organic everything sounds even at its harshest and most difficult moments. the reverb is very balanced, kinda dry and wet sounding at the same time.it's like some modern interpretation of freejazz
listened to the second track at same volume. again a very nice balance of dry and wet sounds and interesting progressions. definitely the sort of ambient that wakes you up from the trance from time to time by interesting sonic surprises
Yeah, ndy_prate definitely has some harsh elements throughout... probably could use better mixing but not really sure to mix sounds that are all over the place. I always appreciate the feedback Darrel C. Hungstorm... freejazz comparison is high praise. Definitely some free improv'-ish approach to a good amount of what i've been doing lately.
@reverb, glad you think i'ts balanced cause my usual reverb vst is not working so i've been settling for another that I'm not totally happy with.I am often going for a sweet spot thats not too wet or dry, not always sure it works out that way.

Interesting but not my thing at all if I'm honest. Just too glitchy for my tastes. Sorry man. No doubt you'll hate my stuff lol.
All good TheBro. I like a variety, but have been moving in a glitchy direction I suppose.
I don't hate your stuff, but yeah, not quite adventurous enough for me ;)

A couple of recent things, mostly realtime fun, not meant for further compositional effort:

My pc recognizes the m3k as a mass storage so id assume your car would too.. but I do not believe it would play audio straight as a player, don't have a car or similar to check thoughhey MIXL, can you tell me if the M3K can play tracks over microUSB? I'd prefer to play music that way in my car rather than using the aux jack. (My car has some usb firmware that reads mp3's from usb storage units; will let me change tracks from the steering wheel, etc.) Currently just using a flash drive but have some gripes about that (loss of track order, car firmware not always recognizing my main flash drive) so I'm in the market for an mp3 player.
Thanks man, might pick one up any way at that price.

managers at work utterly retarded, I've no work to do, and a high chance of not geting any work to do for the next 5 days. I think the expectation is I should find some work to do out of my own non existente volition. Anyone need a Junior dev? I've heard its easy to get a one year work visa in Canada
Sounds like a good time for an audio/synthesis programming side project.

Reminds me of a story I heard from a colleague. Colleague's Mum was a nurse in a mental health facility. Admitted a young girl (early 20s) who'd had some kind of psychotic breakdown. They placed her on 24hr suicide watch. 10hrs in, colleague's Mum's relief turns up. They're both out of the room for 5mins tops doing a handover. When the other nurse went in, this girl had pulled one of her eyeballs out and ate it.
She also apparently said "the Devil made me do it"
Friend of my wife's, her schizophrenic brother cut off his own hand, and it was either because the Devil or Jesus told him to do it, can't remember which. I guess the Devil makes more sense, but I could have sworn it was Jeebus. I'll have to ask again

Lady Luck visited me late last night and performed unspeakable acts upon me. She was one of those super-freaks but super fucking insane... you know what I'm talking about it. Also, her name was Cecilia.
Happy accident. zero effort, aside from the composition of the input file.
