I saw a few options in bookshelf sized speakers for that price actually. I think Edifier had some good reviews, but I have zero experience with the brand or any options. You're not going to get great sound but likely better than the portable ones...unless you're looking for portable of course. I got the Edifier R1280DB's earlier this year for my home office room and have been very happy with them. I was also looking for something that produce quality sound for mainly listening at low volumes. They're priced just slightly more ($129) than a lot of the portables. I'd never heard of Edifier either and bought them based on the strength of the reviews. They have great instrument separation IMO. Bass response is decent as well.

Well wouldn't this be the point in the movie when the main villain realizes the feds are closing in all around him and it's time to bounce? In the Michael Bay version, I can picture Russian operatives moving in quickly to escort the orange villain out of the country, followed by a massive armed conflict between confused MAGA forces, Space force, and the russian army.

Mike Pence sitting there silent, dumbfounded, reminded me of a time way back when I was on acid sitting in a room of people also on acid jabberring on about nothing. I sat glued to my chair, unable to talk, and starred blankly at these jabbering peoples faces. Nothing made sense and I instead turned to watch the acid bugs move around on the carpet and walls.

^ I think I mentioned something like this awhile back. What would be even more awesome would be if they not only ignored him, but chose to report on president Obama instead of Trumpy. But of course we know this will never happen. As much as the media despise him, he is the #1 subject on just about every single American based news outlet every single day. He has made CNN, etc. cover him non-stop. I'm surprised we don't get updates on when he goes to take a dump.

I hope all this leads somewhere and actually results in the orange criminal being removed from office. I know that's Mueller's end game and he's plotting things so they can't be pardoned away, just wish the whole thing would hurry up and happen.

While he was campaigning, I kept thinking that he just kept saying stupid shit just to get a rise out of everyone and he couldn't be as crazy as he was making himself out to be. He is just a showman and classic 80's wall street sales guy that puts on a tough guy act to try and make a sale. That if he actually became president, it would have an effect on him and he would tone it down and act like a civilized person. I remember on election night when he was giving his victory speech, he seemed somewhat humbled by the whole thing. I can't remember what he said, but it didn't come off as his usual angry nonsense, and it seemed like for a minute that he would take this seriously. Of course that never happened and the presidency has not changed him for the better. His behavior has gone wildly in the opposite direction and keeps getting worse and worse. If he was CEO of a company that wasn't in the Trump empire and acted like this, he would have been replaced in his first week. He is by far the most immature leader in modern history. I won't say worst because Hitler, Gaddafi, etc., but his behavior is no different than that of a megalomaniacal toddler.

We know his goal is always what is best for him. I find it more believable that his wait and see approach isn't political strategy but like usual, he just hasn't a fucking clue what to do in this situation. He doesn't want to piss off the Saudis since they're his friends from way back when and he's thinking of the potential "deals" he could lose. But he's also got to keep his handlers happy, who I think are much more willing to take action against them. And where does the MAGA crowd fit in with this? They don't seem to ever care what goes on outside the borders of the lower 48. Plus, Khashoggi wasn't like some white bubba wearing boots and ball cap kinda guy. So from their perspective it's fuck it, let's not get involved.

damn that's even worse...a group of people who survive 1 horrific event, go through all the anguish and probably PTSD for it only to happen again. I wonder if the shooter knew that LV shooting survivors gathered there or it was random that he chose that place.
