  1. I have tried this. All of them (who are into music or make music) are afraid to critique me. I tell them I got over being upset in any way a long time ago, but I never really get anything useful from them. Actually I do have someone I bounce tracks to on the internet though that definitely helps. He is right like 70% of the time about the shortcomings of a track, and after he tells me something that may be wrong, a day or two later I'm hearing it. Sometimes I worry that I am projecting the issue into the track though. Oh well. it's important to have a number of ways to clean the palette. which is what this threads about. It's not so much the feedback they give you. It's more the situation it puts you in. If you're with a friend and you're actively listening to the track without anyone talking at all you should be able to tell what needs fixing. Also, a healthy amount of cynicism goes a long way.
  2. The best thing you can do, at least in my experience, is to play it for someone. You'll automatically listen to your track through your buddy's ears and you will immediately know what's wrong with it and what needs to be changed. It sounds silly but it fucking works.

  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEvBwJz3wGM The menu music is really great. This track as you're walking around on clouds reading about Tim's life... perfect!
  5. But there are puzzles that require you to use the it, right? I stopped playing when I deciphered the "Please answer this security question. What's my name?". It took me forever to decipher it because I took photos of the alphabet with my phone and some of the letters looked identical on the photos. Also, I'm pretty sure I need glasses, so that didn't help.
  6. Damn. This is my second time playing it. The first time I never made it past the "The Quick Brown Fox"-part (I'm keeping this vague in case people want to play it) but this time I'm determined to finish it. I can't even remember if I made it past the bell?
  7. He's slowly but surely morphing into Robin Williams. Robin Williams is still alive
  8. I've started deciphering the writings in the game. I think might have to fire up Photoshop and set up all the letters up in alphabetical order.
  9. I think I need glasses. My head starts to hurt after a couple of hours in front of the computer and I can't focus. Fuck.
  10. OMFG!!!! Fez is doing my fucking head in. My coffee table is covered in post-its and the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
  11. I only played the demo of RE6 and it was a steaming pile of poo. RE4 is a masterpiece though.
  12. Even though I don't give a crap about FF or I think it's fair to point out that none of the levels in the demo are in the final version of the game. The demo seems like more of a tech demo than anything.
  13. Hail, Cesar! - The Coens shouldn't hire George Clooney for comedies/10
  14. A Serious Man is such a good fucking movie! One of my favorites. It's hilarious and sad. 10/10
