  1. That sentence made me smile - because I know exactly how you feel o_O
  2. "The AP said that the construction workers were from two competing companies but have not said if anyone got arrested or hurt. "
  3. Weeeeeeeeeeird... I hope this means that they think they're on to something and that they think that their viewers would want to return for a second season.
  4. OMG YES!!!!!!! Man, Nicolas Cage and John Travolta are neck and neck when it comes to bad posters/movies...
  5. Pretty sure I've posted this one before, but I fucking love it...
  6. Oh man, I wish it was a prequel so they would CGi a younger version of Harrison Ford - that would be soooo good!
  7. I thought it was extremely anti-climatic. It doesn't really go out with a bang or anything. It just sorta... happened. I was expecting a big twist or at least something that's not part of the story we already know. As the show was nearing the end I imagined the story being this old man that sits down in front me without saying anything. Then he just stares at me until he falls over and dies. And again, James Franco... there's something about him. His smile is extremely sleazy.
  8. I have tried this. All of them (who are into music or make music) are afraid to critique me. I tell them I got over being upset in any way a long time ago, but I never really get anything useful from them. Actually I do have someone I bounce tracks to on the internet though that definitely helps. He is right like 70% of the time about the shortcomings of a track, and after he tells me something that may be wrong, a day or two later I'm hearing it. Sometimes I worry that I am projecting the issue into the track though. Oh well. it's important to have a number of ways to clean the palette. which is what this threads about. It's not so much the feedback they give you. It's more the situation it puts you in. If you're with a friend and you're actively listening to the track without anyone talking at all you should be able to tell what needs fixing. Also, a healthy amount of cynicism goes a long way. Def recommend this. Tough part is getting thick skin! But you should keep in mind that not everyone's opinion is valid. For instance, I don't think a construction manager would be interested in hearing what I have to say about his/her work, because I don't know crap about that field of work. Another thing, listen to the people you respect and who are one or more steps ahead of you in your line of work or your hobby. But keep your ears open to what people have to say, because sometimes working with sound, and I bet this goes for any other kind of creative work, becomes navel-gazing, and every now and then the person you least expect would ever say anything useful says something that hadn't crossed your mind at all.
  9. Get it together man! Lol http://forum.watmm.com/topic/85370-dc-comics-movies/ Oh, didn't realize we had a DC Comics Movies thread...
  10. What the fuck? Why haven't anyone told me Zaha Hadid died? Her architecture was electronic music in physical form.
  11. I just finished my first track in Logic X (haven't really used it before except for learning the shortcuts that they've changed) and holy fucking shit... I LOVE IT! Or maybe it's just the Retro Synth I love. I dunno and I don't care. Also, I just upgraded to Komplete 10 which adds a whole lot of fun.
  12. So can we discuss the new Suicide Squad trailer in this thread or will I be stripped naked and rage-raped by a Hulk fanboy if I do so?
