Just switched to a standing desk for my studio and I'm loving it so much more. Way better on the neck, back and arms. (not pictured - Roland MT32 and Korg X3)

MS-20 is now my most favourite hardware synth. I pretty much become lost in my own world when playing it through a high trailing delay or looper effect and can get both some beautifully lush or fucked up textures out of it. It's so versatile in what it can accomplish, fun to make sound fx in, and it sounds great as a synth on its own. I just started getting into patching and doing some cool things with the SQ-10 going into Sample and Hold. Volca FM is good enough to be considered a professional instrument, imo, and included it in.

I have another tiny "mobile jam studio" that has the volca mix with the volca sample, keys, bass, tascam dr-05 and a mini kaoss pad that can output into a UCA 202 usb interface. It fits into a small backpack and it's perfect for travelling around with. Also can pair it an asus laptop to make some custom sounds and multitrack record. It's fun as a party thing and to jam with other musicians, and it pairs as my live setup as well.

I'm completely satisfied on the hardware front from now on. Minimal hybrid setup hits all the right spots. Just waiting on the Max 8 update now and I think the only thing left for me to save up for is the East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra in the future.

  2. hey thanks for such valuable information. I'm mostly looking for a portable one to smoke dry weed, we don't have concentrates here in Portugal yet...i don't know anythinf about the temperatures though... so i guess pax2 is probably the best way to go? or i mean, i have enough money for the 3 so...

If you have the money go for a Pax 3 by all means. The little upgrades they've done to it are worth it.

  3. The Pax2 ships with the oven lid that reduces the oven size by 50% these days i believe.

Also at the third setting i've not experienced burning? I generally don't use it at a higher setting than that because of sedation.

Yeah I had mine roast a few times if the weed was overly dry. Again though I think it is dependent on making sure you pack it correctly with the tools. I was just tamping it down with my pinky finger for the longest time and I think the unevenness contributed to it happening. Regardless, it still burned, a few weed bits were charred and disintegrated like ash when I took it out. I swear up and down by it.

One thing I read up on with the Pax 3 though is that it has a heating option that slowly ramps up from a lower temp to a higher temp over a period of time. That would be a huge selling point for me because I do that with my other vapes and doing it manually is a chore after a while. You can buzzcraft by starting off at 180 and finishing at 200-210. It's the best thing.

Anyway Pax 2 or 3 are good purchases. They are both perfect travel vapourizers and have the same vapour quality. If you don't mind a slower heat up time, slightly shorter battery time, lack of custom temperatures, don't want to use an iphone app and don't do concentrates then get the Pax 2.

  4. so I'm gonna buy pax3 in 2 weeks, somebody tell me a good reason why not...

What are you looking for in a vapourizer? Pax 2 and 3 are both solid but cleaning and packing weed into them is a bitch. For cleaning it will gunk up quickly if you don't do routine swabbing and scraping. For packing make sure you use a full bowl's worth and use those press tools that it comes with to pack the weed down evenly or else it will burn or vape unevenly. I *think* there is a half-packer tool that comes with the Pax 3 though so that second part might not be an issue anymore. I never owned the Pax 3, but since its conduction-heated the the red temp setting on the Pax 2 burned the weed a bit so it isn't 100% combustion proof. You shouldn't really have to vape at a high temp unless you are not saving your vaped weed, but it was something I noticed. You also have to use an iphone app for customized temperatures.

There are better portable vapes but if you want something battery powered, can vape both dry herb and concentrates, and you are expecting to use it a lot outside the home then Pax 3 is probably the best pocket-portable dry herb vape on the market right now. This vape purchasing flowchart is pretty spot on as a reference: https://i.redditmedia.com/PHx8Ld2RzPhAjKpn0p80MRit8oNtFHqkt0GltSxaDqk.jpg?s=eff20b2401937f0632d1b76d5be6df9d

Otherwise I might recommend you check out Dynavap pen series. They're butane/bic lighter powered but you get monster hits out of it, have water cooling options, and they're cheap. Whenever you see people making huge cloud hits on videos they're usually using a dynavap pen. Also anything made from Arizer is good too and bring out amazing terpine flavours, but they're products tend to be less portable since they rely on glass pieces. Arizer's portable vapes are also the best for beginners since there is next to no maintenance required of them. You just throw the glass piece into a bag of iso and rock salt once a week, shake for a minute, and your cleaning is done.

It's really hard to say what vaporizer to get though because the technology is still new, all of them have flaws and we haven't even figured out the ideal mouthpiece, oven shape, heating type, or optimal temperature. Heck, nothing has surpassed the S&B Volcano yet, and not only was it one of the first commercially marketed vaporizers but its almost 20 years old now!

  5. This is about Tallulah Riley and Grimes with Elon. It's hollywood reporter but this is from the same website that documented and outed Harvey Weinstein, and was known highly for its high accuracy when it was collaberated with the #metoo movement.

Four For Friday - He Tried To Kill Them

"If you ask this foreign born B+ list mostly television actress who is on hit show, she will say the details are fuzzy. She remembers coming home from a set where she was filming a movie which was a smalllllll budget film. The hours were long, and the pay not so great. The movie did really well compared to its budget. Anyway, she got home late and when she walked in the door, he slammed her into a wall by the door. There was a painting on the wall and it dropped on her head and his because of how violently he slammed her body into the wall. She says she lost her breath and couldn't answer when he was asking about an actor on the set and whether she was sleeping with him. Because she couldn't answer, he assumed she was sleeping with him. He then took out a knife and held it to her throat before punching her. She blacked out. She says she woke up about 12 hours later and he wasn't in the house. She had bruises all over her body. She packed up her bags and walked out and has not spoken to him since."

"Apparently this foreign born singer has been hospitalized for nearly a month because of the beating she took from the same man. She also says he held a knife to her throat and that he could kill her and no one would care. Unlike the victim above, our singer says she was awake for every bit of the beating. Apparently she didn't show what he thought was a proper level of appreciation for a gift he got her. It was a bronzed bangle bracelet that was an antique. He used that to beat her and then raped her while screaming at her that she should have thanked him and all of it could have been avoided. Later, after he left, she also walked away, but left most of her possessions because she was worried he would come back."
  6. What ever happened to Limpy Loo?

He would royally shit up a lot of topics, acting pretentious and whiny, and afterward would start to cry that he was being persecuted when people called him out on it. He really wasn't breaking any rules but it was very annoying coming to a thread with 3 new pages, almost all of them being Limpy posts. He made a post about how he was leaving watmm. People told him don't let the door his ass on the way out.

  7.

These types of views are, let's not mince words here, retarded

women are stealing cum from bins

I'm picturing big metal bins, like those for clothes donation, being on the street corner for the purpose of dumping sperm into. Some poor homeless woman trying to get in and becoming trapped and asphyxiating to death for trying to take the cum inside on the news every few months.

  8. i just admire him doing silly stupid stuff that most people think is stupid. and getting away with it. building a car company from zero? sure why not... building rockets? tunnels? the guy is crazy. admirable because he learns from his mistakes and eventually finds ways to get there. he's obviously not a scientist. but smart enough to use it in getting to where he thinks he needs to go.

the charlatan angle is imo a bit of a cop out. yeah he does stupid shit. and eventually gets away with it by trial and error. it's that silicon valley "fail fast, learn faster" mindset which i admire. lots of failing. but failing doesn't make you a charlatan. nor not having done the regular schoolwork. whatever though. if some people think he's a charlatan (never heard of azalea banks), that's fine. whatever floats your boat i guess.

Elon Musk is very dumb and made his fortune by being bought out of Paypal by Peter Thiel for being stupid (the nail in the coffin was wanting to switch paypal's infrastructure over from windows to linux, costing them unfathomable amounts to do with no payoff.) I don't understand the whole sycophancy part of Elon as he really comes off as an airhead when he talks, keeping making impossible promises, huge claims and is using his sycophants to undermine the media. He is a tech-lord version of Donald Trump. One of the last things he was talking about was making his auto-factory more aerodynamic because he actually thought that it was wind resistance that was causing his factory to be slow :cerious: .

What Elon Musk and Donald Trump have taught me is that the internet, a marketing team and rich dumb boomers are the winning combination to creating a cult fueled by fear of the law of diminishing returns and long-term lead poisoning. Instead of a Ford-like competitor with a technological edge, Tesla is run like Kickstarter where the end result is a far throw away from the dream he was pitching, and people sunk so much of their time and money into it that they will blindly defend their dream, even if 85% of them are defective, falling apart and catching on fire spontaneously.

Hopefully the Chevy Volt or the Nissan Leaf keep the electric car going.

  9. started with a pair of Sennheiser 280HD Pros and now got the 380 version. They're just so good all around for general all-purpose use. Others are more specialized have different better sound ranges, but the Senns' really have no weaknesses per se, and they're perfect for a beginner or on a budget. Aside from being a tad bit heavy on the bass side of things sometimes I really have nothing bad to say about them except a couple of minuses on durability, as one poster said earlier. But really that takes a lot of dropping and wear and tear if you don't treat 'em well.

I tried Bose and I strongly disliked 'em. Overpriced.

  10. That 'whistleblower' guy seems like a complete nutjob.

The SEC stuff is just box-checking also, they're not even investigating the legality of the funding either, just whether Musk's public statements about it were truthful (you can't lie about things that could affect the stock price), doesn't sound like much for them to worry about as long as they weren't bullshitting about having funding (which seems to be legit, and mostly the Saudis).

He was bullshitting about having funding. $TSLA is going to be sold for the pennies.

I'm just thinking though. If this is how Tesla is doing, imagine how his other companies are doing? SpaceX, the Boring Company, Solar City... They're probably nightmares.

edit: first whistleblower guy seems more angry than a nut. Elon's been trying to slander him through public relations ever since he started raising flags. Second whistleblower - https://jalopnik.com/several-tesla-gigafactory-workers-allegedly-trafficking-1828393920 whoa boy.

  11. Been playing more adventure games and just finished off Wadjeteye's series. I highly recommend The Blackwell Legacy series to anyone who likes point and clicks. They're the equivalent of those non-fiction books that you see at the grocery store in length and tone, but the guy who writes them is *very* good, if not one of the best adventure game writers currently developing. It involves a woman named Rosa who comes from a family lineage that can talk to the dead and send lost ghosts to the next world, and spans across roughly 40 years with the in-game mechanics and character development reflecting it. The characters, settings and plots are all strong (the second episode was probably the weakest but was still good), voice acting is on par and the puzzles are just the right amount of difficulty: not easy but they make sense in the game world. The last game in the series was full length, high budget and had the perfect ending that took me completely off guard.

There are references in the game to Wadgeteye's first game, The Shivah (game was so-so), but they are mostly constrained to easter eggs than anything related to the story. It is worth playing through the first four to play the 5th because of the past references, questions and stories all being neatly answered and tied up. Their other adventure games are good B to A- grade products with the weakest of the adventures series on there probably a toss between A Golden Wake and Gemini Rue. The former has very interesting settings and detail, but the character writing, poorly-responsive action sequences, puzzles are bad and non-nonsensical plot twists. Aside from that, the Blackwell series is probably the most successful and has the most effort put into it. It shows!

They just released a new Shadowrun-esque adventure game, Unavowed, that I'm going through now.
