I liked it in the trailer that it wanted to look realistic, despite the constant action and WOAH!-ness. Also, the navigator thing from the original alien! I'm a teenager again, weeee!! -

Yes! A vision of a gaarg game: It's exactly like World of warcraft, except every player is a ms-paint sprite, the world is only quasi 3d, and you don't really level up. There are Freudian shapes everywhere in a Hieronymus Bosch style violence atmosphere. Your weapons are parts of your body you never before thought of using, your goal to not go insane. Final boss of tutorial would be Salad fingers, background music (mostly) by Coil, while for sound effects the server would demand for every player to record his own on a tight set of rules. As you would progress in the game it would influence you to start changing reality itself and soon, most of the crappy teenagers would become the gaargarian army, waiting for a leader to make a new world. Not a new better world, but a new world, full of wrong. That's my morning vision of a possible gaarg game.

Carcassonne is probably number one for me. It's not as complex as it looks, but is quite deep.

I feel like I should think up a first world problem that I'm having but kinda can't think of any good ones. I'm a bit lazy about it too, as it's just there but I wouldn't think about it because I don't really have to. So now I'm bummed about it, because I'm not going to appear cool in front of judgemental internet people.

One of my most beloved aspects of Tolkien's Middle earth writings is their non-modernistical approach. Most of Hobbit and Lotr stuff was written as modernism in art was progressing, developing, making new standards but Tolkien would omit it, even openly reject some of its ways. For me that is bold, fresh and today wonderfully aspiring.

at the very end of the movie. When frodo he's going on the boat, i really thought he was about to kiss sam gamgee and vice-versa. I was horrified. Also : i think psychedelics are a revelator. Try going to MacDonalds on acid, you'll quickly figure out their food is shit. Same thing happened when i watched LOR on acid. It was fucking horrible. frodo and sam had a relationship like that in the book as well. they even held hands. So? I'd hold hands with my best friends if I or them needed to.

Should Watmm have a Tolkien fanboy thread? I've been a member of the Slovenian Tolkien society for 13 years now, and could go for a hot debate on what still keeps me going. Anyone else? Also Lord of the Rings movies suck Holliwood dick. I'll never, NEVER forgive Jackson and everyonee else that made all the good work put in to the movies go fuck itself with poor cinematography and cheap tricks. Never, ok?
