this is one of the first songs i really remember loving when i was a kid. used to get stuck in my head regularly until i was about 30. it’s super 80s ofc... the minimal arrangement and the weirdo synths and solo, grooving guitar riff, all held together with those muted key chords? just great. but obv Tina’s belting-to-restraint and snarky attitude in her inflection, just a real pro performance…and her voice was the hook that always got stuck in my head of course, with those low background singers. not the best song ever written or sung, but it was always very particular and unique and addictive to my ears, particularly when i was younger.
obv still a great song. she’s got plenty of others but this one was the one i loved.
I was telling my wife yesterday that this is pretty much the first music I remember listening to. My parents caned this shit when I was 3-5 years old (along with Toto’s Rosanna, which was my favorite song apparently, lol).
I guess Tina kind of hated WLGTDWI, but she fucking killed it anyway.
Gonna need to rewatch Beyond Thunderdome asap.

Finally got the analog vinyls and am listening now for the first time. It’s not freaking out the cat like TROG does. I got about 3 hours of sleep in the last two days and the dark and sludgier vibe here (or at least in the first half) is really working for me tbqh. Thanks, Ade.
edit: Paradise Drive is freaking the cat out, haha -

Shrinking - I watched the whole thing and it was good and funny and smart, but fuck if people talked to me like that I'd think I was in a neighbourhood where everybody did coke all the time.
It’s set in Pasadena, that checks out.

I ordered the bleep bundle to throw Mr Head some extra money hopefully, but now I don’t know whether to listen to the digital vinyls first or wait 6 months for the package to arrive. Classic bleep problems, really.

One of my favorite games tbqh. Haven’t played TLOU2 yet but my wife did.
I’m enjoying the show a lot; good mix of porting scenes directly over and changing characters etc when it fits the medium better (e.g, Bill).
Kind of funny how the show excises hours and hours (and hours) of fairly unforgiving combat— just like doesn’t even attempt to go there at all — and still feels pretty much intact.

Think it's still a big app for NI and we're getting VST3 and Silicon support soon (or now if you're happy using the beta) - https://synthanatomy.com/2023/02/native-instruments-reaktor-6-5-0-brings-vst3-and-native-apple-silicon-support-now-in-beta.html
Thanks, good to see some signs of life!

I used to use Reaktor a lot but its update/support cycle is ridiculously slow these days, particularly with respect to Mac OS update support.
I think it still works for now but I can’t really justify continued investment in NI stuff.
