  1. I love pretty much everything Haswell has done. Satanstornade was the album that got me hooked on noise back in high school. I heard his UPIC collaboration with Hecker Blackest Ever Black around the same time as well. I thought it was conceptually fascinating and really enjoyed the recordings but never experience any of its intended synesthesia effects. I have a feeling the UPIC experiments probably worked best in a live setting with huge quadraphonic sound and visuals. Hope they collab again soon. Love those live salvage releases too. In case you missed it, he put out a new salvage release this year documenting performances from his tour with AE. I also like the new direction he's moved in...exploring the intersection of techno with japanoise. Its been done before by Merzbow and the like but hes def coming up with some crazy results: https://soundcloud.com/ideal-recordings/ideal-mixtape-four
  2. Man, this is blistering. I think the second half of the first track may have won the loudness war. It hurts so good. And the reverb trail ending closing a nice, unexpected touch. Very nice indeed. A stand out noise release for me this year was NON's Back to Mono. It's very diverse for a noise album, and has some extra tasty hypnotic textures that are great to get lost in. Like this: Have you seen the Boyd Rice documentary 'Iconoclast' that came out last year (i think)? Highly recommended viewing!
  3. Really been ploughing through Rodger Stella's weirder cut up, tape loop stuff as well recently. The One Dark Eye reissue on ljudbildproduktion is amazing, as well as this Macronympha release.
  4. Nice thread! I was at the Extreme Rituals festival earlier this month in Bristol. It was three day retrospective on the Schimpfluch Gruppe. Saw some truly amazing performances/actions by Dave Phillips, Rudolf Eb.er and Raionbashi as well as The New Blockaders (greatest noise group imo). There are quite a few recordings of their performances on youtube if you enjoy an aktionist approach to your noise. Their label Tochnit Aleph also has some amazing musique concrete and field recordings gems by G*Park and Dave Phillips that are worth checking out.

  6. Holy LOL. I've been to that hotel with the oversized chess board in Goa.
  7. Just finished rewatching season 1. Was wondering what happened to Morgan and Dwayne...
  8. Anyone WATMMers going to the NYE party where Plaid will be playing as Balil & Atypic? Andrea Parker and Bitstream/Adapta also on the bill. https://thedodoclublondon.ticketbud.com/the-dodo-club-new-years-eve-party
  9. Btw does anybody have an mp3 of the threshold performance at the Equinox festival? I remember having it but cant seem to locate it anymore.
  10. Also release some sketches and unfinished tracks that Sleazy supposedly created for Soisong. Including this stunning THBC track that he had premiered earlier at the Equinox festival in London. Warning - the video includes footage of immolation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr99z7OzgDk
  11. I wonder why they never explicitly showed Lori's skeleton in the basement or the scene where her son shoots her. I guess the food-coma fatty walker was a lighter touch.
  12. Vinyan This movie has amazing apocalypse now-esque sets filmed in the jungles of thailand and burma. Loved the overall tone and thought the actors did a fairly decent job. Unfortunately the second half of the movie descended into a cliched lord of the files wankfest... coulda been great/10
  13. The House of Yes 7.5/10 I enjoyed this. A refreshing approach to its twisted subject matter.
  14. lol clerk. greatest typo (intentional or not) i've seen in a while :) it was amazing to see such a large crowd going nuts to clark and plaid. probably had something to do with koko's massive rig. btw plaid are doing a dj set at the squarepusher afterparty in london this saturday.
  15. Ah figured as much...sounds like a product of the scintilli sessions. I guess this recording will have to do for now.
  16. whats the first track?! haunting stuff..
