they're turning that building into a bunch of shops & restaurants. looks like they used some DFN shots on their website:

    https://posthtx.com/

i used to work at the architecture office that is designing this development (OMA). i wasnt on the project full-time but helped them on the early schematic design proposals and for some deadlines.

We were working on it at the time of dfn 16, and so (of course) i asked if we could schedule a site visit at the time of the festival, but (of course) it wasnt in the cards. ?

I had to upgrade to a new iPhone because my 6S was finally on its last legs. Lots of issues syncing the content, yadda yadda... but today I realized that I can’t plug the phone’s audio jack into the car while I’m charging it (if I’m on a road trip, etc) because now it has only the one lightning port. My car has Bluetooth but when I connect and play music, it sounds like shit because using Bluetooth somehow bypasses the audio settings on my car’s stereo system (bass, treble, fade, etc).
I can’t listen to any of my music with a flat EQ. Just can’t. Also I like having the fade a couple clicks in the rear speakers because it seems to match the feeling of headphones more, to my ear anyway.
I’m at a loss as to what I should do ?

ditch apple and get one of the many great android phones with headphone or multiple I/O ports

The idea of being able to be tested frequently is almost incomprehensible here in the USA.  I've been tested three times, it took days to find a place that would even take me, the first test took about 16 days before I got results, the second took just under three full weeks, the third a doctor had to pull some strings to get me tested at all because having symptoms and being told to get tested by my PCP didn't meat the requirements to be tested at the time (late August).

It does sound like home testing might be available soon though, that would help even if it's less accurate.

Testing is key.. testing availability is worse here in Mexico than the US, which is why this disease is nowhere near under control.

Here for example, you still have to pay equivalent of an average week's salary to quickly get a rapid covid test, which is insanity.  There are free clinics but they are so limited that you have to have a long interview and report all the symptoms (or lie that you have all the symptoms) before they will give you a free test..  So of course the rich people take tests as needed and can take precautions, but 95% of the population here is "flying blind", so to speak.

  4. Sleep is a pretty appropriate fwp.

Ive never had trouble falling or staying asleep, its the waking up I just cannot do.  Im infinitely jealous of people who wake up easily and feeling refreshed.. for me its a half hour slog minimum of weakness and feeling shitty before i start to actually feel awake. Been like that most of my life, sometimes less or moreso than others, but generally doesnt improve even if i´ve been getting better or more sleep.  Its borderline disruptive to things in my life, but not quite enough to where ive sought out a doctor who specializes in such things.  Would be curious if anyone has success stories here..

New self-released Patricia album.  Tracks lean more towards his older stuff (opal tapes releases) and funky acid type sound.  Nu Perspective is my initial favorite track, but the whole album is solid.  The collaboration tracks (w/ J. Albert, Russel E.L. Butler) are standout as well.  Buy it for a good cause, 100% of Bandcamp sales for this release go towards the NAACP legal defense fund

very old-school Aphex vibes in all the best ways without being bullshit derivative wannabe crap.

Agreed, im a sucker for everything early afx and Patricia's stuff is unique while expanding on that sound.

Also, the dude is a wizard on the modular synths for live shows, seeing him in a random warehouse near newtown creek is one of my fondest music memories of living in nyc.

Realling digging Running in Place (w/ J Albert) rn. (Another great ny based artist btw)

(somebody should make a new thread for the Non Zero Sum album.. pls? ? )

im also lukewarm on these (i was on ego mirror as well tbh). i love all the artists in solo mode (been listening to lots of radiohead as of late) but their talents never gel for me on these collaborative tracks?  It only ever sounds like 2 of them worked on any track.. or almost like a fan threw thom vocals over a b-side instrumental

  8. and all 5 are amazing.. im hopelessly obsessed with his material from this era, it wears its influences on its sleeve but also nothing else quite sounds like it.

That reminds me.. I dont think I ever downloaded his mix of unreleased tracks for warp30 (a k a wxaxrxp).. I remember it being super good but can no longer find it streaming.. this one>https://www.nts.live/shows/wxaxrxp/episodes/bibio-wxaxrxp-unreleased-tracks-mix-23rd-june-2019
