I have no access to a scanner.... :( I highly recommend the book though. It's not about mastering audio, in the sense of becoming skilled with audio.... its referring to actual mastering of mixes and CDs. Its a chart of all the instruments of the orchestra... it says their range, as well as for the various human voices, and the Hz value of each note It came with "Mastering Audio" by Bob Katz, and is very handy :)

Yay! I had to downgrade a little... no room for the 88 key controller, and I got a new, smaller desk. But this is actually the best setup I've had... everything is within arms reach. Also, the desk is a funky shape, which allowed me to use my speaker stands, which is a bonus. Being able to listen to music through my monitors after 4 months of laptop speakers, and ipod headphones... its so good.... edit: and right behind my chair is a sofa/futon that's really comfy... so I can watch movies, etc.

woooo I got the apartment. getting my stuff picked up my the movers within the week, and then about 2 weeks until it gets here. FREAKING OUT in the mean time, my studio consists of the nord modular g2 demo, a trial version of wiretap studio, and garage band (which I just discovered is on my girlfriends laptop). its amazing how desperate I am.... but its kind of good... being so limited has forced some nice results!

I sent off my rental application today... hopefully I'll move into this new place on may 20th, and have my gear arrive sometime within 3-4 weeks from now. it's a 12x12 room, and I'll have to also fit my bed and basic living stuff in there as well, so I'll probably have to down-grade. I may scrap the 88 key controller, and the mackie control and extender... we shall see. definitely getting a new, smaller desk. I cant explain to you how psyched I am to be getting my gear, and getting back to work...

this thread makes me sad. i've moved, and not yet found a permanent place to live, so I haven't moved out any of my gear yet. its driving me nuts

picked this up today, having only heard the Mary Anne Hobbes leak, and have now listened 3-4 times. fucking awesome. have some I like more than others, but nothing is bad. very happy

So I just picked this album up (for 5 bucks at a local record shop) and holy shit, it's awesome! I've heard it talked about here and there, but this deserves much more attention than it gets! It's fucking great. Why the hell do they not have any other stuff really? Why the hell aren't they mentioned more?

Ive only listened to those mary ann hobbs tracks, because I figure a dj playing tracks is fair game. it has wet my appetite more than sufficiently, and I will be all up in a record store on march 3rd no offense, but I can tell its a fake.
