Finished Dick's "A Scanner Darkly", became one of my favorites from him, sharp-written as usual with a beautiful ending. I still haven't found better than Ubik in his bibiography but that one came pretty close, very personal and well built. I then started to read The Stand by Stephen King, in its full version. But I gave up after 300 pages (out of something like 1200 pages). It's really easy to read just like any other King novel, but really long, too easily understandable and, finally, boring. A big disappointment since the book's almost mystical status amongst fans. Earlier in the month I went trough Lisey's Story which was way better. And finally I started reading Alice in Wonderland in its original version - thought I should give it a chance...

Have to disagree. Double albums are sometimes really great - thinking of The Wall, Tales From Topographic Oceans, or even The Orb's Adventure Beyond The Ultraworld... Let's not consider the fact that it's a double album, but the number of tracks. Drukqs was 30 tracks long and had some fillers indeed. This is 17 tracks long only and since it's Autechre I can't think of it as being boring, or uninteresting. Hope I won't be proved wrong !

I had this exact thought/hope! Didn't thought of it that way but it could be really great. Not necessarily that much differences but at least changes in the atmosphere. Bicephal Ae album ! And yeah I've been listening to Ts1a again yesterday - it's really great, and would match the average EXAI track length so why not ? I would rather go with 10mn of beat fuckery tracks than 10mn of drone waves. Or a mix of the 2.

303 ? The artwork is quite unusual for an Ae album, I mean look at that color scheme ! They already used green, but not in that pastel, beautiful way. Same goes with the blue and the brown - even tho the main, 11-bits sleeve is reminiscent of their older works. And the texture of the packaging also seems a lot more natural. I have high hopes about that album, it could be an all new style, maybe more organic and forest-based journey, whatever that means !

Autechre at their pinnacle. At first I was disappointed by the two minutes flute introduction of the opening track but it grew on me. Warp just announced the follower EP - there's a track featuring Tinie Tempah on it, I just can't wait !
