trying to control negativity in your life

You ever meet those people who go on about 'the power of positivity' and how good things happen if you think positive and channel 'positive energy'?

You ever feel like punching them in the face?

What we truly need in life is balance.

  2. ^ that book is a mess. He goes into needless, very specific detail just to make a more general point later on, but there's so, so many random digressions and self indulgent filler that the broader points just get lost. He spends like a hundred pages later on describing the process of DNA replication in cells. That book's in serious need of editing

it gave us that awful pitchfork review that's written as one of the achilles / tortoise dialogues though so it was all worth it

  3. Hereditary

Really feels like 2 different movies. I was kinda disappointed when the low-key, slow burning first half devolved into the usual horror movie paranormal whodunit - I was expecting it to go a very different way before Joanne enters the picture and it devolves into more cliched territories. Still a great movie though, but the first half is inmensely better than the second

I had a bit of unrelated anxiety due to stress and lack of sleep going in and the first half, specially the kid's death, got me so hard i actually almost got up and left to get some air. So I was in fact almost relieved it got exponentially more and more lighthearted as it went on.

  4. Anyone looked into the Millennium Problems? (pdf link)

    The Riemann Hypothesis

The Yang-Mill Theory and Mass Gap Hypothesis

    The P v NP problem

    The Navier-Stokes Equation

    The Poincare Conjecture

    The Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer Conjecture

    The Hodge Conjecture

a good way to pass the time is reading the 2 or 3 P vs. NP proofs that pop up twice a year then reading the inevitable follow ups where someone finds the flaw in the proof

  5. why do all these people keep getting it it wrong then?

Because Tunes sounds very similar to Toons and it's a cartoon diatoms. I refuse to believe this reasoning didn't once cross your mind over the 3 hours you've apparently been entertaining this thought for. I just can't do it. You are actively withholding my ability to have fun diatoms. You are tearing me apart

^^ also his ex girlfriend has a gofundme page

    Tsk tsk...

to be fair, he had a pending case on the (alleged) assault, but now that he's dead she needs to get the monies she would have been awarded IF he had been found guilty- so perhaps that's the thought process behind that crowdfunding?

probably not considering the gofundme was launched 20 months ago
