You were probably being sarcastic, but honestly this is the track I always show to everyone and they always think it's awesome.

fags

only pre-confield autechre mostly, but still: fags

and my answer = arch carrier, i guess. maybe rpeg.

actually i had my parents play vletrmx21 in the car once and had them turn it up a bit and i was like "this is my favorite song ever" and they listened to it. when it was over, my mom was like "it was pretty neat but it was kinda loud which detracted from it" and i was like ":("

I put corc on many a mixtape in my day.

I don't really bother trying to get people to like electronic music anymore. If I want to share autechre with friends I send them augmatic disport.

All tracks from Amber and Incunabula, and Altibzz. Most tracks from Tri Repetae. Surripere (first part), same goes for V-Proc. Rae maybe, Fold4 Wrap5 maybe. Perhaps Yeesland and rpeg. Maybe Chichli as well.

I have no idea what some of you people are talking about. V-proc? Surripere? Eidetic Casein?

Slip is the only track which would probably be accessible on the first listen to an American girl. Corc maybe.

But really, women aren't equipped to hear autechre.

Are you saying testicles are required to understand Autechre?

Are you saying testicles are required to understand Autechre?

More specifically, the Y chromosome and its effects on the male brain. Because I am sure castrati could perfectly understand autechre.

But yes, women are indeed less capable of understanding Autechre.

I read a thesis about how boobs produce Autechre disappreciation hormones.

Really? I always thought it comes from not eating enough styrofoam...?

I actually do the same thing (with less positive resonance usually). I used to go for the tracks I consider easier, like Surripere (also, just the beginning) or most of Amber, but honestly, I've got stuff back like "kinda nice but I thought songs usually are like 4 minutes?", and in those cases, why bother ;) just give 'em the full load right away and rule out the ones who wouldn't like the more complex tracks anyways. My choice lately would be Gantz Graf or Pro Radii. On the other hand, maybe tracks with a simpler start and lot of development towards abstraction kinda are a good introduction? I imagine the 12 h radio broadcast could be the ultimate therapy.
