  1. @kev_belfast1 Sorry to read your father passed dude. That's really tough. What you say about getting solace from SAW II is so true and very close to home for me - only the other day I was telling a friend about how I found it very difficult listening to music during the time my Dad was passing back in 2005. It felt, in a way, disrespectful to engage with anything too upbeat, and then perhaps too indulgent to listen to anything too downbeat or sentimental. So it was Blue Calx that got me through that period, along with Radiohead - "Treefingers". On that token, Stars of the Lid are an act I've gotten very in to the past few years. Poignant in the extreme, but definitely hugely comforting in the right measures. "Tired Sounds" is an album that's gotten me through some tough times and well worth a goo I hope you and family are doing ok dude Hello from Dublin!
  2. Awesome job on this guys, thank you so much!
  3. Picked up Syntorial a while back and there are free lessons packs for Serum, Sylenth and Massive amongst others. Not completely new to production/synthesis, but decided it’d be nice to learn in a nice cohesive linear fashion for once. Bread and butter up until now has been Operator and Elektrons. Going to pick one and get stuck in, any recommendations as to which synth to go for?
  4. Cheers. I actually made the patch first and then went crazy trying to figure out what it reminded me of 😅
  5. Have had this riff stuck in my head for a while now, and pretty sure it is something UK/Early 90s. Maybe Warp. Just lashed it out on Operator there but it's fairly close. Any clues hugely appreciated! Untitled.wav
  6. Love it. Ae Live art is the best they've had since Untilted.
  7. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=huslqo2x2qQ Holy shitballs, had never heard this before. Anyone got an id?
  8. Split your infinities is unreal. Prob my fave off that album, glad to see others love it.
  9. Easily missed depending on your listening volume. One of my favourite moments on NTS.
  10. Love it. To think that it's just an EP, and is of higher quality than most full lengths of their contemporaries, is just insane. Iris Was A Pupil is one of the most unique tracks in their whole discography, love it so much.

  12. More than anything I'd love to hear them do a really heavy, brutal dance album. They hinted at that style with tracks like the Across Uneven Terrain remix and the Untilted set. 2 hours of tracks like the London SEone 2005 gig was just be out of this world, and it's not something that they've ever really committed to on a studio release other than Move of Ten. Plz someday
  13. Dude, really gotta take my hat off to you. The Quaristice set is one of my favourite pieces of music ever so to be able to hear it in proper quality means the world. Really impressive to see someone recreate it so well, how long have you been producing?
  14. Awesoooommmmmeee Thanks a mil dude, legend!
  15. Jeeeeeeeeeesus Filed deleted Anyone got a link? Plz god
  16. Love the closing paragraph from the german one. The NTS sessions 1-4 are summarized a long, partially quite demanding but extremely rewarding journey of discovery, which takes us from a spent romance into a world of fresh and originally experienceable sensuality, which is full of emotions of all stripes, power and surprises. Here, incredibly virtuous, dense and detailed pictures are drawn, no stone remains on top of another, no pattern ever experiences an exact repetition. The increasing play with the aesthetics of artificially spoken language is in this form and quality novel and extremely exciting. Booth and Brown have added another milestone to the stunningly impressive oeuvre. It will be interesting to see what worlds Autechre will show us with their incomparable nature in the future. Respect.
