That's right. seehere and here. Reviewed in The Wire for May, apparently. No word that I've seen as far as label, or digital distribution (I'm crossing my fingers on that one).

YES! I heard things, but now they EXIST!

One of the rare times nowadays where I feel like I have to get a new release. And three 12"s sounds great to me. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Debating about whether or not to buy this. It is expensive for Americans, plus add the fact that I would really like a cd as well.

It's $45 to America, and I'm not sure it'll be available elsewhere. I'm getting rid of some LPs and might just be reckless and go for it, but part of me feels like I'd rather drop that kind of cash to get a nice LP copy of makesndcassette, or something equally classic and out of print.

But god those samples have me dripping.

45? Wow the conversion rate is getting worse everyday. But yea, just once I would like to get on top of a rare release.

Haven't even listened to the samples yet. I hope it's good lol.

Whoa, those samples do sound pretty cool. I am glad I bought this. To bad I won't be able to listen to it for a month since my turntable is up North lol.

I will order one on monday if they are still available. I'd still like to know if Boomkat is the exclusive distributor though.

Chances of this on CD are astronomical it seems. They've never reissued a 12", and the CD and LP versions of their full lengths have always been markedly different. If for some crazy reason they do decide to release a CD of some of these tracks, I imagine it'd be more of a separate affair.

whahwaha/??? i've never heard the LP versions, what are the differences?

please say that the LP versions of stdio and tenderlove forego that brittle high-end which always makes me eject and replace with Makesnd!

The LPs are abridged and have pretty shuffled track order, and I think sometimes long tracks are split up on CD and such. Haha, don't know about the mastering though.

I guess that's the neat thing about Fell and Steel-- they're equal parts intricate sound designers and crafty beatsmiths. So some people love the microsound uberhigh sinewaves, while others really just come for the slammin no fuckin around, tight boom-bap action to infinity. But I think a lot of people are like me and think the reason they're so great is how well they combine the two. None of the Raster-Noton dudes (well, maybe Byetone sometimes) ever get that funky!

Ordered it yesterday. Wouldn't have had to put so much thought to it if I didn't have to replace the cellphone I dropped in a public toilet a couple weeks ago.

Yeesh, that was less than 48 hours.

all true. i emailed mark fell some time ago and asked about digital distribution and he said it was something they were considering. so . . . fingers crossed . . .

i too would gladly exchange servitude for HQ mp3 (or, better yet, flacs). pm me if you got it. the samples do sound incredible.

Hmm, there must have a been a digital version distributed somewhere, given the variety of different samples on Boomkat and Rubadub, and one has to wonder if they sent out CDs or full on 12" copies to the Wire.

Nevertheless, I'll try my best to get that V0/FLAC out to those who want it, after mine gets here.
