o00o Posted December 13, 2008 Share Posted December 13, 2008 he does not deliver anymore for me as he did in the past the album before was not what I expected so is this one nothing against progression of style but I just don't like the new stuff anymore also he does mix his stuff with mediocre techno beats on the eps ... I liked New World Observer but sometimes I'd just wish he'd strip his tunes completely of his typical jungle-congas-beats and create some minimalistic ones instead. They just have so much happening in each track, unconventional sounds/sequences, but it all works together somehow. But dubtechno is mostly just straight repetitive. maybe it is unique in the sounds used, but the sequencing is usually pretty lacking for me. meaning that if you hear the first minute of a track you pretty much know what the next 8 minutes will be like. but this new Deadbeat is still pretty good, and feels like a cohesive album to me.
