Watch the video, this is really beautiful

This is the game I'm currently working on. It is a 3D space shooter with mathematically generated fractal scenery and models. It is easy to get started - you fly around, shoot some stuff, collect some other stuff, and dodge enemy bullets, all while admiring the trippy scenery and self-repairing by flying close to stars. When you're comfortable, you can set difficulty to "Insane" (press esc) for a very fast paced gameplay.

Speaking of trips: Some people reported dizziness after playing with dynamic reactor on (it is somewhat disorienting, though I like it). It is off by default; if you turn it on, watch out.

You can download a free demo here:

However appearently its quite picky about what videocards it works with.

if you find bugs the developer might be interested in fixing them, looks like he can be contacted here or here

it's a cool engine, but not much of a game..

mix this with some Privateer/Wing Commander stuff, then you'll have a game.

agreed; visually really excellent. especially the explosions! but gameplay is few and far between to say the least. it's just like a sci-fi, trippin balls flight simulator.

who is it then? sounds more like modern day film composition than debussy.

Debussy - La Mer. (3rd movement i believe?)

yeah apparently its an early demo and he's planning to develop the gameplay a lot

What I'm currently working on:

Gameplay. That's it, campaigns, missions, attack/defend, online leaderboard, multiplayer.

In response to the critique of gameplay: At the moment, it is more of a game engine demo, and gameplay is necessarily classic and minimalist - that's also why it is called a 'preview', with emphasis on pre and view.

A lot of people like minimalist gameplay, a lot of people dislike it, and of course, when the game is finished it will include fancy missions&campaigns as well as minimalist option.

It looks bloody incredible. Shame my computer only just manages to play back the above video, I think it would have a nervous breakdown if I attempted to run it.

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago and tried to run it, my laptop actually stood up and threw itself off my desk.

I went back to Nethack

Eh my MBP is from 2006.

It's got the RadeonX1600 which is fucking ancient. And if I'd bothered to look, it's one of the cards that is not supported.
