He's apparently a huge fan of Caribou—unfortunately the tracks that aren't awesomely tape noise-drenched, bittersweet 80s-flashback pop sound a lot like instrumental Caribou ripoffs. Washed Out is pretty good, I like Memory Tapes and Toro the best out of that scene I think. Can't really get into Neon indian at all, I haven't tried too hard though...
