So we can all talk shite about how great he is. I saw him live at some festival a few years back but the only song I had ever heard was bongo bong. Anyway I was completely blown away by his live performance.

from a certain point i've noticed an abuse of the sounds too, and all of his albums starting to sound like one big fiesta

he re uses lyrics, samples, and backing tracks all over.

 

you'll find different songs with the same backing track, different songs with the same lyrics, etc..

Yeah, thats something you notice really quickly when you start listening to his albums. But somehow he pulls it off. Its kinda like he's saying 'I know its supposed to be lame to re-use shit, but I dont care. This is a good riff, and I'm gonna put it on a few different tracks. Its nice! Why not?' and it kinda makes sense within the context of his particular style of laid back backpacker chilledness.
