do you think people would still ejaculate over his music if he were still alive?

i'd like to think he'd of been president one day, or primeminister.

but even if he'd of gone that far he'd probably have been shot (taken out of the way) by somebody else in the end, like JFK was.

nah, he probably would have gone crap. or at least boring.

that's not to say his music isn't amazing, but his death gives people a reason to properly analyise what he did.

beatles were always synergy. i think they did alright on their own for a few years, now they're boring. lennon probably wouldn't have been much different... but maybe there would have been more beatles someday if he hadn't gotten shot.

you just don't know though. it's impossible to say. but i don't think he'd of gone too crap.

it's possible he'd of started something completely new and amazing! it's a fucking shame he didn't get to see/use some of the equipment we all have sp easily to hand today. and i wonder what he would of made of the interent.. and 'bedroom producers', and laptops, lol

he'd probably be quite pissed off with the state of things and music today, actually...

that's true, we don't know.

but I have a suspicion that being such a popular iconic figure would take its toll on him and he'd either become really really bitter and hide from public life, or... I dunno... worked on questionable material just to stay relevant. like do a quiet inoffensive album with a buzz producer every 7 years...

again, I dunno, but I suspect that it would have been hard for him to free to create in his position.

nah, he was past all that in the end (saw a program last night). he'd reached the point where all that shite was behind him and he could just walk down the street and people would say "Hi John", just like he was a local.. or like passing a friend in the street. he was really happy in the end. not bitter at all. i think he'd HAVE carried on that way too. :) he was always the coolest of the 'fab four' by far, imo. way cooler than Paul, and even he doesn't do much/release anything very often.
