I dunno... worked on questionable material just to stay relevant. like do a quiet inoffensive album with a buzz producer every 7 years... again, I dunno, but I suspect that it would have been hard for him to free to create in his position. Guest sirch Posted December 7, 2010 Share Posted December 7, 2010 nah, he was past all that in the end (saw a program last night). he'd reached the point where all that shite was behind him and he could just walk down the street and people would say "Hi John", just like he was a local.. or like passing a friend in the street. he was really happy in the end. not bitter at all. i think he'd HAVE carried on that way too. :) he was always the coolest of the 'fab four' by far, imo. way cooler than Paul, and even he doesn't do much/release anything very often.
