mass cricket deaths

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41034340/ns/us_news-environment/

In the past eight months, the U.S. Geological Survey's National Wildlife Health Center has logged 95 mass wildlife die-offs in North America and that's probably a dramatic undercount, officials say.

The list includes:

900 some turkey vultures that seemed to drown and starve in the Florida Keys.

4,300 ducks killed by parasites in Minnesota.

1,500 salamanders done in by a virus in Idaho.

2,000 bats that died of rabies in Texas.

And the still mysterious death of 2,750 sea birds in California.

It's normal. It's like when a plane crashes... suddenly broadcast news searches out every single plane incident and convinces us that planes are dropping out of the sky at an alarming rate. Blame it on the ease of access of global news, and their thirst for more ratings.

i've heard that the bird deaths were some sort of massive collective suicide

apparently it was orchestrated by a well known cult, but they deny it

fucking ornithology

i think i heard about that too. they thought some asteroid was actually a spaceship...
