Imageshack still works if you fish the direct link out of the forum code. I've never tried imgur, I will if I remember it next time I need one. I only really use these sites to host weird images that I don't want on my server, but then again tinypic kept deleting all my wrong mspaints so I had to host them. I just uploaded an image to show someone how to use uttorent and I got a direct link without any trickery http://img62.imageshack.us/f/unledfq.jpg/ <--- is that not the sort of thing you're after?
