⬆️ that glasses, wristwatch, and mustache combo goes hard. Love the light bossa nova feel and piano.

I been revisiting some Miles Davis albums: Relaxin' with, Cookin' with, Steamin' with, and Workin' with The Miles Davis Quintet. The recordings for all four LPs were recorded on two separate sessions in 1956. One of my fav jazz drummers, Philly Joe Jones, plays on all of them, same with John Coltrane on saxophone, cool to hear Coltrane as he was coming up before getting into making his own albums as a leader. Not my favorite Miles Davis albums but lots of great stuff, such a unique tone and approach to the trumpet, almost sounds as expressive as a human voice at times, master of phrasing, melody, and the light touch on ballads like this:
