"It’s a magnificent beast of a record, full to the brim with a sort of modern, electroacoustic, soulfully gothic folk with classical flourishes." - NORMAN RECORDS His album Ill Tides was one of my favs from last year and this is easily among my top albums for 2017. Nice intro to his music, kind of straddles the line between his instrumental albums and his vocal-heavy ones. Overall I'd say his stuff sounds like an ambient / drone take on American Western music.
