  1. Disney/Lucasfilm's invasion of the Porg marketing has begun:
  2. Don't hate Don't hate; just convince him to part with an extra copy for a reasonable price.
  3. Those are all 24-bit files. Are there any other 24-bit tracks in the store that aren't marked with a * now? ah thats what made my website tracker go on alert Which website tracker are you using?
  4. The SAW1.5 tracks from the soundcloud playlist definitely sound more like SAW 85-92 than SAWII. Mostly tracks from the same period, as far as I can tell. But they were all beats and stuff... Okay, yeah, fair enough - I guess the fact that SAW 85-92 isn't called "SAW 1" made me think it was more related to 2 than 85-92. Honestly, I've never seen too many connections between SAW 85-92 and SAW II in terms of music. I mean how many tracks on 85-92 would anyone really consider "ambient"? And SAW II does have some beat-driven tracks...
  5. I don't think R&S (or any label) has 'rights' to a track until the artist agrees to feature said tracks on a release on that label. Even then, they are only paying for the exclusivity and publishing rights, the recording rights (aka Chrysalis) remain with them and the artist. So, unless those tracks were identified as 'potential' tracks for SAW 85-92's release and were scrapped (thus falling out of the scope of the publishing rights for the tracks on SAW 85-92, I don't think R&S has any say on what Richard can release on the Bleepstore. That, and I think Richard associates the "SAW 1.5" tracks more with SAW II versus SAW 85-92.
  6. He'll have to go back to the [Reddit|Imgur|Pinterest|Instagram] thread to find out
  7. ICBYD still stands (for me) as RDJ's masterwork; so many of the tracks (and now the newly unearthed ones created in that era that I finally have proper names for) demonstrate just how far ahead musically he was in terms of production and technique.
  8. Hey - there has been a lot of things I've been told that have never come to fruition, for various reasons... so the debate is: do I mention it in hopes it comes to pass, or stay quiet until it is all but confirmed?
  9. I'd love to get scans for the discography, and for some ardent fan to take the time to transcribe all the text on it...
  10. That should be an Instagram filter option
  11. This is why I don't want to do it. It feels wrong. You might also consider the consequences if your rip is promoted here on this site...
  12. The trick to having a juicy fillet is to brine your chicken beforehand. One of my favourite websites, Cook's Country has an article (which thankfully is not behind their paywall) about grilling chicken, and there is a section on brining: https://www.cookscountry.com/101/grilled-chicken-101.HowTo_feature_11 It is an essential step for keeping white meat juicy and flavourful, whatever you end up doing with the chicken, being grilled, fried, or baked.
  13. Like I said... I haven't heard CAT087, nor what tracks are on it (from the demo).
  14. Ah, how to answer this... carefully. I don't think I said that the tracks (quality) is "miles away" from the demo; that could be assumed by the fact it was a cassette passed around between WARP and Rephlex heads versus a test pressing made from a master. The tracks on the test pressing are different than the demo; as to which tracks exactly are on the test pressing (and if there are ones that were not on the demo or just omitted for the test pressing) I do not know. There's only a few people that actually own CAT087 (Minecraft Notch is one; GWC is another); more scarce than CAT023! (AFAIK, there are 2-3 copies left in existence; about 5-7 of CAT023, and loads* of CAT034 ABB5). Supposedly no copies of CAT002 still exist; even Richard has said he doesn't have any, and the tracks themselves are on DATs in storage. *less than 50, but no more than - again, guesstimates based on comments from those "in the know"
  15. Well that's really shit. I ordered it from the Aphex bleep store, figured they'd put a little more effort. I might say something I would - out of curiosity, could you take a picture of the cover to show us what you're talking about? Ah, that's not too bad - I don't have the original RDJA vinyl to compare, but for all we know, the original might have suffered the same fate (early Photoshop, innit)!
  16. Apparently inspired by the puffins on Skellig that Rian Johnson saw when scouting locations. I think they're making more of a big deal about them than what they actually will be, although there will be a "Chewbacca and the Porgs" children's book:

  18. Nah dawg - this one's supposed to mirror ESB, like TFA mirrored ANH. No "death star III: electric boogaloo" until Episode IX.
  19. I think it's a bit more special than simply a digital release... how many years do you intend to do this? 4EVAR
