will be curious how "bad" this affects bitcoin transactions considering china is responsible for 75% of bitcoin mining. in the meantime: back to cold storage my coins go.

    2) why are we so certain it's humans they're interested in? Maybe aliens have an alliance with dolphins or octopuses.

personally, i think aliens would/will be extremely interested in tardigrades. they can survive in a vacuum for more than 100 years, can be fired from a gun, can live in extreme temperatures (eg. under 5 meters of ice in antartica) and unlike humans, aren't hurt by boiling water or nuclear explosions

i wouldn't be surprised in tardigrades are some form of life that came hear on the astroid that killed the dinosaurs

this is a classic cautionary film that ironically never became the "big hit" it could have been, due to the very puritanical mindset it was cautioning about. i don't think it's a great film (and the director is somewhat clumsy in his depiction of some of the lifestyle), but it's elevated by george c scott, peter doyle's bumbling P.I. shtick and soundtrack by jack nitzsche.

Above the Rim – The Soundtrack is the official soundtrack to the 1994 film of the same name. The soundtrack, released by Death Row and Interscope Records on March 22, 1994, was executive produced by Suge Knight. Dr. Dre acted as supervising producer on the project.

The cassette version of the soundtrack contained three bonus tracks that could not fit on the CD due to time constraints: "Pain" by 2Pac (with Stretch), "Mi Monie Rite!" by Lord G, and "Loyal to the Game" by 2Pac, Treach from Naughty By Nature, and Riddler. The bonus track, "Pain" by Tupac Shakur/2Pac (with Stretch) was initially rejected for use in the film by Dr. Dre, however, at the request of recording engineer, Norman Whitfield Jr., the track was recut and remixed for the film by record producer, Isaias Gamboa. The song's considerable thematic use throughout the soundtrack including the key scene when "Birdie" played by Tupac Shakur [2Pac] is killed, has helped transform the "Pain" remix into a hip-hop classic. Under Death Row, Above the Rim soundtrack was the third album under the label to reach number-one on the R&B Albums chart where it stayed for ten nonconsecutive weeks (Heavy D & the Boyz' Nuttin' But Love interrupted that streak for one week), while it went to second place on the Billboard 200 chart. Track 13 is a sensual remake of Rev. Al Green's classic "I'm Still In Love With You" by the American R&B recording artist Al B. Sure!.

    this was piss poor.

    Spoiler

i'm very confused why, if the whole reason for going into vegas was to get alpha zombie's girlfriends head, why not just get it in the first 15minutes and head back? what was the point of dragging it around vegas going for the safe? and did they really need all those people? seemed like it was just an excuse to get some of "the team" killed off. and the constant slow-motion every few minutes or so just got juvenile.

    also- zombie tiger? really?

This may seem an absurd ponderance, but I never understood why noise music always has to be so noisy.

By noisy, I mean loud and aggressive. Can noise music be as much about noises without needing to trigger discomfort?

Or is that just ambient music or musique concrete? Can anyone recommend non-confrontational noise music? Something that simply celebrates atonal, arrhythmic structured or unstructured sound?

the only answer i can give you is a quote from juntaro yamanouchi (the gerogerigegege)

Well, I cannot answer your question "why ?" but can only say that this is THE GEROGERIGEGEGE!

as for non-confrontational noise recommendations: there is a guy from pittsburgh who was making noise music exploring the subject of "medicine". i forget the name now (tried looking it up based on my description and still couldn't find it) but i remember it being surprisingly mellow. hopefully someone know what i'm talking about

The New York state attorney general’s office said on Tuesday it has told the Trump Organization its investigation of the company run by former President Donald Trump is now a criminal probe, not purely civil.

"We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature," spokesman Fabien Levy said in a statement. "We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA," he said.

i was really excited about this- then i realized it's a fully dramatized version of derbyshire's time @ the BBC (reinvented here as a large warehouse) with occasional photo and sound footage from delia. this whole production has the look and feel of a neighborhood theater play: extremely small, claustrophobic and barely informative.
