Yeah, the same challenges of testing and distribution. And manufacturing. And convincing people to actually take the medicine. And unforeseen circumstances. Molnupiravir won't be the end of this pandemic. I think the end of this pandemic will probably come in the form of the distractions that a myriad of riots and localized civil wars will provide. Up until recently I was convinced things would be better at some point but I've lost all faith, the tail of this pandemic will see us into the next catastrophe. We're fucked.

Been meaning to respond to this for ages. I noticed the same thing but I still have both devices in my library. And to add to the confusion my yellow ones seem to be the live 11 ones the one in the screenshot has the mpe label for example. There's probably an easier way to do this but I just add my preferred version of live's devices to my favourites label thing in the browser, should have some sort of spring cleaning next year.

The low level anxiety associated with basically being available 24/7 to anyone that has your phonenumber has been eating away at me a bit. A lot of it seems like empty chit-chat that would be alright irl because it might lead to an actual conversation but on WhatsApp 90% is just exchanging tokens, confirming each party is still alive and making plans to meet up.
I switched off my phone entirely for almost 24 hours the other day and it felt amazing, did feel the need to notify some people in advance in case they’d think I’d died or something. Gonna try to make that into a regular thing.

Spent 3 days in and out of bed with food poisoning and have now reached that transient stage of extreme grogginess where I'm subconsciously trying to sort through which conversations were fever dreams and which ones were real. Feels fucking weird, sleep is a strange beast.

Maybe you're already aware and it's not exactly the world's most power user tip but make a habit of using Spotlight (CMD + spacebar to open) to launch programs and open documents etc. It's super quick and works really well. You can customize results (ie exclude internet search, certain filetypes and directories etc.) in System Settings.

Fair enough, I've consumed my share of lead enriched water but not entirely sure if that makes me feel more confident about using leaded solder. Otoh it's a lot more likely I'll have a stroke way before the lead gets me.

In this vein, but in a perhaps more basic bitch fashion, I always have a plugin on the masterbus that makes everything below a certain frequency mono. Have it at 120 hz by default but adjust it as things progress.

Would find it super convenient to have some sort of postblast/multi-post panel added to my interface which enables me to post the same post across multiple threads without having to go into each one and posting. I'm thinking that a list where I can check off the threads on the first 2 pages to which my post will be submitted (or posted) plus the ability to search for threads that I then manually add to the list (I'm thinking either checkboxes or radiobuttons with "post / do not post" of course by default everything would be set to post) would initially be sufficient. Would be super convenient for me and looking to have this feature implemented ASAP.
