  1. That Simpsons one was brilliant. It was very popular during my childhood.
  2. One of the most unintentionally hilarious computer games in existence. http://youtu.be/0q5HXcPSChA
  3. Just cooked up a Portuguese platter for breakfast, which is comprised of three basic ingredients: eggs, rice, and sausage. For the sausage I used Polska kielbasa. It's high in protein, and will satisfy your hunger for a few hours. I got the idea from visiting Hawaii, as it's a common meal for breakfast there.
  4. I think RE4 was Capcom's peak in the Biohazard/Resident Evil series. RE5 was basically RE4 with a new paint job. But RE4 was great and RE5 sucked shit. Yeah RE4 was definitely better. RE5 just felt like Capcom recycled bits from RE4, without making any real changes to gameplay. And the inventory system in RE5 was a steaming pile of crap - only 9 items per player, meaning a big-ass Gatling gun takes up the same amount of space as an herb.

  7. Tired of pansy-asses on the internet who comment on something saying they don't care. Truth is, they took the time and effort to post a comment on something, therefore they are giving it attention. So for them to claim indifference is bollocks.
  8. http://youtu.be/I_wWbcWfxZA I have a feeling IDM heads might like this one
  9. Playing Fallout 3 again, even though it's slightly aged at this point. It kept freezing up at random until I fixed it yesterday by doing some quick editing to the .ini file in Notepad. Now I can liberally bust caps in Raider and Mutie asses with Lincoln's Repeater. (By caps I mean bullets, but sometimes that literally applies to Bottle Caps as well, if you're blowing up bad guys with Bottlecap Mines.) I reckon I need to start getting outside and going for a jog.
  10. Phew. FINALLY completed XCOM: Enemy Unknown just now. Didn't launch the final mission until October 2016 in the game. It took a lot of time to form the perfect squad to finish the war with the aliens. That meant getting all soldiers in that squad promoted to the rank of Colonel, outfitted with the best gear (including Psi Armor), and having full Psi Abilities. But in the end, all the effort and patience paid off.
  11. The Akira manga is a masterpiece. Katsuhiro Otomo is responsible for both creating the manga and directing the film. As great as the movie was, it's more of a teaser trailer to the manga, which goes into much more depth.
  12. Just chomped down a bánh mì. Didn't realize there was jalapeño in it until my mouth started burning.
  13. After playing a bit of both the new XCOM as well as Dishonored, I've decided to re-play a piece of my childhood this week: ...on the original 1989 console no less (BTW thank you Sweepstakes )
  14. Another nice thing about Steam is that developers can add automatic updates as needed to their games you purchased and installed. No longer need to hunt for an update patch on your own, at least for newer games.
  15. It's already available for pre-order on Steam. Four months until we get to time-travel to one century ago and face off with a Gatling gun-toting clockwork George Washington.
  16. Sorry, I'm not committing suicide on account of having a conflicting opinion. I loved the original UFO: Enemy Unknown, but I also really enjoy the new XCOM. And who gives a shit if it's been engineered to accommodate console users. I play primarily on PC, but people can play it on whatever system they choose. Yeah, there's been some simplification in certain game elements, but it also takes an open mind to appreciate it. Bear in mind that this comes almost 20 years after the original Micro Prose game. You can't expect the new XCOM to adhere to every minute aspect of the old one. There's bound to be revisions and modifications in that period of time.
  17. Seems like Dishonored is getting a lot of praise, but I'm sticking with XCOM: Enemy Unknown for a while. The new XCOM is getting some controversy already. One reason is because fans in Europe are upset that their turn comes 3 days later than North America. And two, some of the people who are already (supposedly) playing are bitching about it being inconsistent or having a "dumbed down" interface in comparison to the original 1994 Micro Prose classic. Personally, I've been hooked on the 2012 version since its release. It is as addictive as it is challenging. And I've played the original countless times in my life. I'd say Fireaxis did solid work with this one overall. As for Dishonored, I might wait a few months until the price begins to drop.
  18. I'm about one hour into the JUST-released X-COM: Enemy Unknown. So far I'm impressed. Fireaxis did a good job of realizing the same style of tactical interface as the MicroProse original, whilst bringing the quality of the new game on par with today's industry standards. I understand that fans in Europe have to wait another three days though, which is lame. I promise not to give away spoilers in the meantime.
