Thanks dude. For the last four weeks I've been working with my favourite band's synth parameters/sounds, and got tons of thank yous from many watmmen - it can't get better than this. It's a lot as you say role-wise, yes - the mpc contains many noise/textural samples, incredibly organised to rhythmic patterns that enhance/complete the MD rhythms. h spiral was talking about how it sounds like futuristic (turntable) scratching.

yeah, digit will add the nord. I'd like to carry on working on a few aspects of this, like re-recording some MD/MM passages, maybe try and mix it a bit differently (like a mixing exercise). Would be great if someone could master it a little.

Here's a 75% replication of the Echoplex gig, with MD, MM and MPC1K. https://we.tl/t-13AAxh7TDW Using the previously rendered MD & MM audio takes. The MPC1K part was reassembled track by track, section by section, using a mix of: accurate positioning based on the bootleg, following Ae's performance notes; and personal interpretation. Only a few regions were lowered in level, otherwise everything left as is level-wise. Digit has been handed Reaper project files and will do Nord G2 magic :)

Very touched by the kind comments. It's 100% credit to Booth & Brown for releasing incredible music and being so generous with the synth patches. SPI, you didn't come across as such, besides you have a point (that this recreation is half-complete) and it's good to see you have that expectation. Aux, monoppus - man.. too kind, just putting into words this synth crowdfunding idea is more than enough.

Very happy. Now I wish I (or someone I knew) had access to the rest of the gear. Clearly, I'm missing "Rob's part" as well. For the tempo mapping, I've done it for various tracks so I reckon I got pretty good/quick at it - it took me around 3.5 hours, started as soon as I heard about the sysex dump. The pattern changes took 10-14 hours on and off; lots of starting/stopping, muting/unmuting between the recording, MD and MM; placing markers on Reaper etc. Plus it's 127 patterns, most of them having very subtle changes, so really tricky and it's obviously not 100% precise but quite close.

Only a few parameter tweaks done in real-time to match the original recording; otherwise, elektrons left unchanged. Will upload reaper project soon. Massive respect to SB & RB for making the sysex files available.

Ah right. If I have MD & MM, and live jam an 1-hour-long set, and record it to a DAW without keeping track of tempo/pattern changes then yes, someone wanting to add MPC & Nord would find it hard (not impossible but hard). But the screenshot I've uploaded is from a Reaper project where I've taken care of the tempo and pattern changes. So once I upload the reaper project, different people can share it and record and their recordings will stay in sync.

If by "these files" you mean the files given by Ae, those are synthesizer files containing sounds and parameter settings, that you need to 'upload' to their respective synths. If you have any or all of the synths, you can set them up and start jamming. You won't get a 1-hour set just like that, you still need to jam with the machines i.e., change from pattern A1 to A2 to H15 etc.
