  1. I actually like the Tri Rep 'artwork'.
  2. I'd be interested to hear an album full of shorter tracks. Lesser track time doesn't mean weaker Ae IMO.
  3. I think it says 'Autechre' and 'Warp' and stuff.
  4. So it does have 20 tracks after all. Also, the artwork.
  5. I just get too impatient waiting for new releases to come out. And it always feels rather sad a little while after an album is released, knowing that's that for another few years. Deep down I really know that you're right.
  6. I think I read that 'Chiastic Slide' was taken from about 60 tracks, or something daft like that. If that's true they should make like Snares and The Gasman and put out a couple of albums a year. If their live stuff is anything to go by, I wouldn't say that quality control is much of an issue.
  7. With a Clark album ready to drop as well, I fear that Rook may spontaneously combust shortly.

Don't know what I've been doing with my computer up until now, but I saw it today as well. Not mindblowing, but interesting for a bit.

Cheers, Six! As regards VI CODE SPOILSE, it's probably Jazzb@, but this site implies that it was just the title used for Vi Scose Poise when it was streamed on the Warp site. It would indeed be interesting to know if there was anything more to it than that though.
  10. Anvil Vapre is excellent. Second Peng is amazing, the sound of undead electronic music.
  11. This EP deserves a good old bump. As Aesterlingman said ages ago, the finale of 'Tilapia' is fucking amazing, and one of my favourite Ae moments ever. Timely bump too, as I had this EP playing on the pod the other morning and it felt great to remember how it blew me away the first time I heard it. No less impressive today.
  12. 'Orange Romeda' is rather pleasurable.
  13. I've added a few more originals over the past few months: We R Are Why (12") Confield (Japanese CD) Untilted (Japanese CD) Volume 8 (with Lanx 3) ATP 3 + ISS:SA (CD) Minidisc (CD) I'm desperate for the Japanese Tri Rep CD.
  14. Downloaded the Manchester 1999 set a while ago, and found that it's identical to the recording listed as the Warp 10th Anniversary Party from the same year. I also recall someone on one of the WATMM forums saying that track 5 from these recordings is actually 'Mcr Quarter' itself (although I don't own the Japanese version of 'Confield' so I can't compare the two). Anyone able to fill me in?
  15. Must admit that, after buying 'Confield' on release, I still find myself feeling a little bruised after it's finished (in a good, non-pervy way). Like all Autechre albums I think it still sounds as revolutionary today, and it's the one that really ignited my interest which is still as strong today. Definitely their most disturbing record to my mind ('Sim Gishel' scares the cack out of me).
  16. Bollocks, I accidentally skimmed over the 'originals only' bit. Most of my MP3s are legit though, apart from the Skam stuff. Suppose that still doesn't count.
  17. It was on Volume Eight (released September 1993 according to Discogs). 'Volume...' was a series of book/CD combos released in the UK that featured various artists with corresponding articles/interviews and songs. I used to collect them but stopped at 'Volume Six', I think it was. Typical. Plus, I'd never heard of Autechre then. There was often some good exclusive and rare tracks on them (also, I've got 'Entrance To Exit' on one of them). Never even heard the song, in fact I only found out that it even existed a few months ago. http://www.discogs.com/release/115269

  19. How far back do you want to go? At least this one isn't a duplicate post! On BBCs 'Holiday' programme a little while back, 'Flim' and 'Digeridoo' were both used in the same feature (funnily enough, it was about Australia). More recently, of course, 'Windowlicker' was used in an Audi advert.
  20. SAW CD2 Track 3 is currently being used on a car advert (can't remember which company right now). Bollocks, sorry! Just reread your original post! Don't worry, I won't mention Pirelli!
