You could do a lot worse for research, the setting and concepts are excellent and well grounded, and the whole plot is guided by the rules of the future it depicts. Definitely the best sci-fi show in a long time imho.

I thought the acting and dialogue of Expanse was pretty bad, but overall an excellent show.. Pour yourself a drink and enjoy, my dude, the snow and wind is gonna be around for a while.

+1 for Utopia! Loved the soundtrack too. I was a little gutted when it was cancelled but I could see it going downhill a bit after season 2. Finished Altered Carbon. It was alright, totally agree the sister subplot was garbage. I don't mind hammy acting/writing with gore and nudity, would have made for a fun pulp cyberpunk detective show or something. Instead it couldn't really sit on a theme - pulp detective, introspective cyberpunk, low budget sci-fi shot in some forest. A mess overall but the ideas were interesting enough to keep me coming back.

Into the Breach is fab, "tiny" turn based strategy game from the FTL devs. Crazy to me that it's only on PC though, it'd be perfect for the Switch.

this is literally 99.8% better than anything FACT, Pfork or Fader hyped last year. Yeah this is surprisingly good cool channel this...this is what I need Adult Swim should hire this guy. wouldn't be surprised if they got signed to Blackest Ever Black at some point in the future edit: or not, thought the music was by the channel owner but I guess not

I enjoyed Black Panther but yeah, it looked cheap as hell. The CG was so dated. It's fairly formulaic Marvel capeshit that at least tries to be different with theme and conflict, at least. But yeah it's a corporate product, ain't no revolution coming from this. If it flopped or even didn't meet profit expectations, Disney would just write "black-led films = bad" and never do one again.

It's trite but I really do wish I could replay Dark Souls with a blank memory of it. I imagine it'll be even better with a (hopefully) more robust online system.

Watched the first few eps of Altered Carbon. Pretty much what I expected so far, hammy acting in a pretty good Cyberpunk world. The SFX are really inconsistent though, one scene you've got a beautiful bird's eye view of the city, next there's a cheap ass looking car flying off scene. I like all the interesting ideas it throws out there even if it can be a bit overwhelming at times.

Kermit the Frog adamant that our bright destiny lies in the metamorphosis to lobster people Newman's response was weak but I'm not sure what else you can really say in response beyond "What in the ever living fuck are you talking about, Jordan". Not that it really matters, it's appeared in 300 "Peterson DESTROYS feminist" quickbite vids at this point, the chuds are vilified.

I'm not really sure what he's trying to say... I've read through the comments and have seen some of his videos, but I'm none the wiser. Could someone clarify me his intentions / ideas? He wants to live away from society, alone with his family, being completely self-reliant, and all people in the cities are sheep, or ...? He's just a racist anarcho-primitivist, basically the flat earth of politics. I wouldn't read too much into his political thoughts. Just listen to Filosofem and pretend he isn't like this.

Dived (hahaaaaaa) back in to Subnautica now that it's finally released. Performance and pop-in issues are much better now, not perfect but a lot more playable. And nice to have the experience a bit more coherent now eg no more stand-in items and fleshed out design. Looking forward to actually completing it although I keep getting sidetracked with my base building.
