I don't know, but for sure the layering of ideas, interpretations and subtexts is something that, if transported in melody, I can only imagine it as autechre, with the difference that Kaufman adds a sense of tragic humor, evidently borrowed from Kafka. I could recommend seeing Synecdoche New York first, then Anomalisa and, therefore, I'm thinking of ending think: a bit like Ae, to get Kaufman and the fundamental idea that moves all his cinema, it is good to start from the first work. Or perhaps from the scripts he wrote before, which already contain a lot of his thinking (Adaptation, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). In my opinion, together with Michael Haneke, yorgos lanthimos and a few others, he is the most complex and interesting living author.

this ^^ even if often the songs are of one or the other, are the result of a common work that is the basis of the idea, both for the technical line and for the aesthetics they decide to follow: I think they have a fairly precise notion of what is collected under the name autechre (not surprisingly, the ideas that do not fully represent this form are diverted to Gescom). At this point, a solo album would consist in a systematic division of the pieces composed by R or S, giving up those composed together: an option like this, even if possible, I think makes little sense, and ultimately the only difference from the standard, would be to lose the closest collaborations: not a great advantage

yeah, for several years they have used fonts with a similar line, and in fact in gantz graf and draft the abbreviation ae is identical (I forgot this in draft), so I would say there was a recognizable aesthetic and at least two occasions something very close to a logo, however I was referring to a symbol, as can happen for aphex or deadmau5 ... if the onesix graphics are actually their logo, we would enter this territory for the first time .. well in fact I have opened a rather sterile reflection...

maybe ... but the idea of a logo in a general sense is something that I find not very close to Ae, it has a pop heritage of a marketing nature that perhaps could have been plausible in the 90s (even if, in truth, every graphic has its own identity , there has never been an identifiable repetition in a logo, not even in the past), but today it seems to me a distant thing . actually Sean, at the time of the lockdown, wrote "in the next album there will be my face on the cover lol", and considering that, often, his irony is based on the extreme simplification of a truth, it could really be that the onesix logo consists in the stylization of their faces.
