I wasn't as bowled over by it as some in this thread, but it was definitely interesting. I feel like they could've trimmed a bit of fat, but the dynamics and descent of the family is pretty riveting viewing.

Somehow, even though Kubrick is probably my favorite director ever, I never gave Barry Lyndon a shot. I'm at the intermission, and holy shit! This film is hilarious, beautiful, sad, euphonious...and all the things. Kind of glad I never watched it when I was younger and more a.d.d.-led, but also can't believe I waited this long to see one of Kubrick's best.

i tried the demo and i don't like how you have to hit a button for the block to fall faster. i guess a lot of the newer tetris' have been like that. do you get used to it? i mostly play tetris on gameboy and the snes(dr mario and tetris) If you press "up" it falls immediately. I don't know if that solves your issue, but i find that it works great! Also, you can turn off the "ghost" blocks that show you where your piece is going to land if you want that true oldschool vibe

Oh man, that's one of my faves. Watched It Comes At Night last night. I wanted to like it more than I did. The characters were engaging and real, I cared about them and shit. But what the fuck, basically nothing happens.

I've been doing this too, about to finish season 4. I never watched it when it aired and am pleasantly surprised with hpw good it is, especially starting around S.3. At first some of the acting bothered me (especially Sisko), but it's gotten better.
