  1. Daww, he is going through his Lindsay Lohan rebellion phase with tha jacket
  2. Sad what I'm hearing about Free Fire. I hope Wheatley gets back to making great films. I feel like he's gotten too light and self indulgent since High-Rise. Which had it moments but could of been cut down by 1/3
  3. So I looked into this and it looks like you can't sample with it but you can load in your own wavs. Do you know how capable it is at messing with samples in it? Any timestretching of any sort? How are the fx? Yeah I have thought about going the controller route. I don't own any rack stuff. Would probably be just as expensive or more to go that route than getting the Kronos. I dunno, not gassing too hard yet to splurge on anything. The V-synth looks like a soundshaper's dream, but they are hard to find and I would like a better keyboard. Thanks for the thoughts
  4. I'm thinking of saving up for a digital poly, probably won't get it for another year or so. But I want some weird features on it: I want it to be 88 or 73 keys so I can work on piano chops and also have it be my main controller. to make it so I don't need any other synth except for my analog mono. to sample and be able to manipulate those samples in cool ways. all signs point to a Korg Kronos, which is sad because I will never use the "workstation-y" parts of it. I could also search out a used K2500/2600, but I would be worried about longevity. any other pieces of gear pop into mind?
  5. Willow Creek I love Bobcat Goldthwait, and this was a pretty good found footage film. Could have gone a bit further with it I think, but the tense moments were damned tense.
  6. Late to it, but finally watched A Serious Man. I avoided it for this long because I was worried my enjoyment would be diminished by all the religious context. Aaaaand, yeah. Maybe it'll be a grower, but it didn't do much for me on first viewing.

    Oooh...got a new 'hing
  8. I agree, the first one is better as far as story and atmosphere. The sequel is like slamming back a good cold beer after the main course. They actually go really well together as a double feature. Also agree that all other Hellraiser-related anything is garbage
  9. Be sure to watch the sequel as well. Surpasses the original in terms of batshit insanity and production design.
  10. Oh I have! He was one of the great visionaries...as uneven as his films are. The Monitor stuff is all insanely excellent, especially for a music buff. His Debussy film is probably my second favorite behind The Devils. I actually have the Monitor works DVD's on their way from Ebay. Ordered them yesterday, which prompted me to clean off my old bootleg of the unedited Devils.
  11. Ken Russel's "The Devils" never gets old and Oliver Reed was a beautiful madman
  12. I am excited, that's for sure. Those Zoom pedals are a damn fine value for the money
  13. PayPal credit is going to be my doom. Just ordered an Eventide Space
  14. This was fucking great About to watch Kuso (dir. by Flying Lotus w/ animation and, I think, an appearance by David Firth)
  15. Yep, TBF coors light is swill for the NFL-loving mildly retarded. Still blows my mind that when I lived in Dublin in the late ))<>((s (00s), it'd be on tap at most pubs as a premium import and a pint would cost more than a pint of Guinness (wtf) Wow, did people actually pay for that?
  16. Is the Colundi sequence a scale, or a sequencer? Is there some program out there that allows one to compose with it? Edit* figured it out...kind of. https://www.residentadvisor.net/features/2567
  17. great pick! Anyone have experience with the Digitech Polara or the Earthquaker Avalanche Run for reverb?
  18. Went ahead and bought a Strymon El Capistan on reverb
