  1. I really enjoyed the live sessions they released last year. Looking forward to this. RIP Trish.
  2. I got drift with PS4 and PS5 as well as the Switch. Sony did fix it for free though.
  3. I started Silo. I read Wool recently, and so far it is tracking pretty close to the book.
  4. Okay. I started the Metroid Prime remaster. This was one of my favorite games in college. It holds up so far. Atmosphere is great.
  5. I beat the Dead Space remake. Pretty cool. Glad I gave it another shot. Next up is probably the Cyberpunk DLC. It's getting crazy good reviews. I still need to get back to Switch at some point too and play the Metroid Prime remaster and Pikmin 4.
  6. Leviathan fucked me up, but I somehow got through it after 20 tries and now am cruising along Dead Space. I like how in this version ammo scarcity forces you to learn how to use every weapon, and there is a learning curve. What I haven't really tried to learn is any of their secondary firing modes though.
  7. Thanks for this. I've never liked a Bethesda game in the past, but I tried them all way after they came out because I wasn't gaming for ten years. The scifi setting is much more interesting to me than fantasy (I liked Cyberpunk but hated The Witcher for example). I think I'll pick up an Xbox on the cheap a few years from now to try this and hopefully some other good games that will have come out like the Hellblade sequel and perhaps Perfect Dark.
  8. Dead Space remake. I never beat the original because I ran out of ammo in a locked area. It's cool so far.
  9. I liked the first season. The second is kinda meh so far (I'm four episodes in), but the visuals are quite nice.
  10. I am also watching Foundation and finally watching Andor.
  11. I finally beat Neon White. Got gold on almost every mission and ace on a lot of them. But just too many levels to go do it all. Fun gameplay, silly storytelling, great music. I think I'll do Metroid Prime remastered next. I loved the original.
  12. Mouse On Mars Machinedrum Prefuse 73 Lackluster Apparat (mostly Duplex - Walls time period) Amon Tobin Freescha Shed (technically techno, but veers into IDM territory a lot) Casino Versus Japan D'arcangelo Lusine Arovane Brothomstates Christian Kleine
  13. Finished Signalis. Oh boy is the story a head scratcher. Great game though if you like survival horror. Going to crank on Neon White next. Might but Metroid Prime remastered or Pikmin 4 as well.
  14. I'm close to the end of Signalis. It's pretty cool, but I am lost on the story. I started Neon White because I can't play Signalis during the day with the glare in my room. So far it's fun even though the story is unapologetically 90s anime lame.
  15. The story of the first game is one of the best sci-fi stories in gaming. It just takes a while to reveal itself.
  16. I finished Party Down season 3 in one night using a free trial. I enjoyed it.
  17. I started Signalis. It's pretty cool, but the over the top aiming is atrocious. I've been able to get around it so far, but hope it doesn't make the game too hard to clear later on.
  18. Forgot to post my update. I beat Tears of the Kingdom accidentally. I have Signalis or Neon White up next on my queue.
  19. I plan on getting this when it comes to consoles (which the devs said they are doing). I didn't play the original, but love Prey, Bioshock, et al.
  20. It's the worst of the series by far. They don't get great again until McQuarrie comes in, but it's consistently uphill from here. (And I agree the first is a classic).
  21. I tried out Rollerdrome while waiting for Zelda. It's kind of hard, but we'll see if I can get through it. Art style is awesome. But yeah Tears of the Kingdom time.
  22. I beat the Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC. They did a better job with the villains in this one vs. the main game. But the main world story didn't advance as much as, say, the Frozen Wilds DLC. Also felt a lot easier than Frozen Wilds. The open world quests were also a lot less hand-holdy. Have to follow clues vs. just go to the question marks. I think that's a good adjustment to how exploration should work in an open world.
  23. I hated Outer Worlds too, but no, the controls for Outer Wilds were abysmal, and the time limit and small windows to get stuff done is so annoying when you're fighting the controls all the time.
  24. I was going to buy this, but I fucking hated Outer Wilds.
