  1. I beat Resident Evil 4 remake on Hardcore. Some really tense moments running around short on ammo with tons of enemies. Really well done overall. The merchant is so damn entertaining. I will start the Horizon Burning Shores DLC when I get back from vacation.
  2. Yeah I would love an instrumental version for Orange Juice Jones, Kingdom Hearts Key and Jack Harlow Combo Meal. Love those beats.
  3. I beat Elden Ring and only struggled with some of the bosses, but Sekiro fucked me up so hard. I was never able to get very far, and you have to do entire levels over when you die. Buyer beware. The stealth part was fun as hell, but not doing it for the 15th time because the boss one shot you. I would say the beginning of Elden Ring is quite hard, but once you level up it can get a lot easier. Stormveil bosses are quite tough (get the special summons as well as your own summon). Many people struggle with Malenia late game for example, but I took her out in three tries. Last boss took forever, however.
  4. I started the Resident Evil 4 remake. Got through the first few chapters. It's fun. Definitely not as scary as 7 or 8. On PS+, I found the controls of The Last Guardian super frustrating. I also tried Demon's Souls and got wrecked.
  5. Yeah I beat Returnal, Miles Morales, and Ghost Tsushima already. Returnal is my favorite. I couldn't bother finishing Gravity Rush. Vibe was just off for me. I didn't get past the first level of Devil May Cry 5. Not for me. I have The Last Guardian downloaded from this. I never played it because reviews were so-so, but I loved Ico. Thought Shadow of the Colossus was overrated, but still good. Others I downloaded: Demon's Souls, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, Tchia, The Quarry, Watch Dogs 2, and Far Cry New Dawn.
  6. I got Playstation Plus Extra so I could play Stray (cat game). It was pretty cool. I now can sample a bunch of other games in the catalog, but have Resident Evil 4 and soon Horizon's Burning Shores expansion to play as well.
  7. I started Norco. I don't normally like point and click, but it's so interesting having a setting in a video game that features so many areas and slang from my childhood (I'm from New Orleans). I also bought the Resident Evil 4 remake.
  8. I beat Sable. Overall, it was quite nice, but I wish it ran smoother on the PS5. Norco and Neon White are next on my backlog.
  9. Sable is pretty cool, but it's very sluggish on the PS5. Art style is amazing.
  10. I watched all the John Wick movies because my friend wants to see the fourth one in a theater. They're fine, I guess. Set pieces get better throughout the movies.
  11. Inscryption act 3 got boring, so I just watched the end on Youtube. I started Sable, and it's chill so far.
  12. Elden Ring is the first FromSoft game I've beaten. Being able to level up helps a ton. In Bloodborne I couldn't even beat the first bridge boss. In Sekiro, I couldn't beat the boss on the horse fairly early on. And the dynamic of doing the whole level over again after getting killed in two hits by a boss was so annoying. I did love the stealth in Sekiro, but doing the same stealth on attempt #15 got old quickly. I still found the storytelling of Elden Ring quite poor and the boss battles uneven in difficulty. But overall it was fun. I doubt I'll dip into the DLC (already sold the game to get that sweet Gamestop credit for when Zelda comes out). Debating on whether to give the Demon's Souls remake a try as I'm not sure how many of the quality of life improvements from Elden Ring it has.
  13. Ravenous is awesome. I just watched Barbarian. It was...fine. I feel like horror movies these days get rave reviews just because they are comprehensible (see The Menu).
  14. Signalis is on my list too, but gotta work through a backlog.
  15. Finally beat Elden Ring after a billion tries on the final boss. Had to watch a Youtube video to try to make any sense of the story. It still doesn't make sense. I started Inscryption. It's loony.
  16. Elden Ring update: I've been slaying bosses left and right (including Malenia, Mohg, Maliketh I'll admit was a bit hard). But the damn last boss is too hard to hit. I can barely get to 50% health. He always just moves away from me in the second phase. I don't want to go back to leveling up, but I may have to. Level 150 right now. EDIT: Story still doesn't make any sense, and I have no idea why I am fighting any of these people.
  17. Fucked up all those bosses and Morgott by upgrading my summons. I now feel very OP again.
  18. Elden Ring update: Stumbled through Leyndell and got roughed up by Godfrey at the end, so went and beat Volcano Manor (Rykard was pretty easy), all of Nokstella, and most of Lake of Rot. Still haven't beat Siofra Aqueducts, but going to try to beat Godfrey again, then see if I can beat the Siofra Aqueducts and Lake of Rot bosses.
  19. Leveled up to 79 in Elden Ring and still get my ass handed to me on the Valiant Gargoyle in Siofra Aqueducts. So instead found my way to Mt. Gelmir.
  20. Elden Ring update: This game is long! Beat Radahn and found the eternal city. Finished Ranni's quest, but that one fucked me up. Basically didn't get any runes from it. I need to do Siofra Aqueducts next, but everything has been fucking me up lately even at level 71. I was OP for like five minutes, and now the opposite.
  21. yeah I bailed on this one pretty quickly. Kept dying. Had no idea what to do.
  22. Elden Ring update: Defeated the Raya Lucaria dungeon. Rannala was easier than Radagon for me. I went back to the Roundtable, and the guy said to go to the end of the game, and I was like lolwut. Before he told me there were five bosses to kill, and I've only killed two. So gonna roam around and try to find what to do next.
  23. They have a massive hidden section you can easily miss around mid-game that is worth exploring. I would not say the game is small, but it's also not true open world.
