  1. put it in the oven, gas mark 5, for 40 mins. sprinkle cheese on top.
  2. 'standard' vinyl pressing then, as I thought. oh well. nevermind! I suggested to Bleep that they make a few 180 gram pressings. How difficult could that be? Yeah I'm nitpicking but why not go for higher quality? I thought BoC were supposed to be 'perfectionists' or something edit: just saw your question joyrex Higher quality? I don't think 180 g makes a difference in terms of quality, it only usually affects the price. And not in a good way. 180g vinyl = thicker vinyl = deeper cuts That's such BS. No record is cut deep enough for the difference to matter, and 120 g runs from the same masters are regularly done by places like RTI that are in to the 180 g for audiophile virgins thing. Believe what you want, but I'm saving my money. Also, the only warped records I have were sold to me warped, what happened to looking after your stuff? only warped records I have were sold to me directly from the label / from retail, and were warped from the moment I took off the shrink wrap. Sounds like a good time to send them back if you're that anal about it. You could even write an accompanying physics essay on how they should have added 60 g of vinyl and made deeper cuts. I got in touch with Bleep about Bibio - The Apple And The Tooth, they sent me another copy...which was exactly the same. Also of note, I wasn't the only person on here who had this problem with this release specifically. Sounds like you have a case of denial, so much so that you have to get all WATMM and come back with a sarcastic retort. How quintessentially WATMM

I have many 'standard' weight vinyl (120 gram? 140 gram?) records and quite a few of them are visibly warped. of all the 180 gram editions I have (quite a few), zero are visibly warped. that is a sign of quality that can only be denied if you have no grasp on physics. warped vinyl = worse quality sound.

  6. not only does 180 gram vinyl offer the possibility of deeper cuts, but also the record is less likely to warp, and thus there is less chance of wow being introduced during playback. so yes, 180 gram vinyl is higher quality, unless you don't understand physics.

Yeah I'm nitpicking but why not go for higher quality? I thought BoC were supposed to be 'perfectionists' or something of all the vinyl releases from BoC, only one has been 180 gram, and that was Geogaddi. it's not necessary. yeah it's nice, but if this is all we're gonna get (and I doubt there'll be a special edition or anything like that) then I'm ok with it.

  10. "I got a bad feeling about this drop..." "you ALWAYS say that, 'I got a bad feeling about this drop'!"
  11. Same. Nice sounds, nice video here though.. will keep an open mind for the new album. Count me in. I've always liked Zomby even though he recieves a lot of hate here. Each to their own I guess. and for good reason.
  12. 0:20-0:25 is almost exactly the same as some drums used in the Portal 2 soundtrack. It's certainly exactly the same sounds, the pattern is slightly different. Ergo, Mike Morasky must've used this for drums on the soundtrack
  13. so, just to make sure i'm clear on this... as long as i'm always listening to exai, i can never die?
  14. So that was while the album was still fresh/actual. What i need is Con-Draft-Unt-Quari vinyls. Yes, i could find them on the net but used and for several millions of money. I want them perfectly fresh, still with toxic off-gasing. ahhh, well... I know they did a repress of Chiastic Slide, since the copy I own is one of the represses unfortunately. I also believe that the repress was made quite a while after the initial run. It might happen, but I guess that's up to Warp to do it...
  15. I'm pretty sure they did a second run of Oversteps to meet demand. I remember them being out of stock for a while on Bleep and then all of sudden back in stock.
  16. I'm sure you'll find it amazing once the next album comes out...
