I've known many latinos like this in my life. A lot of these that I've known are in my mom's side of the family as well. Growing up, my cousins on my moms side and a few of the uncles would poke fun at me and my sisters for having Black bloodline from my dad's side of the family (Puerto Rican). When I had a black girl friend in high school one of my cousins was like "Ew! Why?" They pretty much disowned their heritage to blend in with their white counterparts at school. Even my grandmother... rest her soul if you believe in that stuff... Favored my cousins over my sisters and me. There aren't many cook outs and gatherings with them the last 20 something years. The only cousins I talk to these days is my gay one and one that that snapped out of his "I wish I wasn't hispanic" phase.

Yeah. College Education was the selling point for me when I joined the Navy back in the day. My parents were willing to send me to college but I didn't want to burden them with payments and such. Law enforcement was one of the paths I thought I was going to take when i got out. But, seeing how most people were dicks and couldn't wait to get out on the streets and shoot someone kinda made me change my mind... and my major. Was working security and was like "If I can't handle this shit! Imagine me being a cop! Fuck that!" There was once a situation at the mall I worked at where there was a shop lifting call and we detained the suspects. The cop that was working that day was doing his thing and was a pretty calm dude. One of the girls that posed no threat was sitting on the curb. She was pretty mouthy but nothing a bit of patience can't handle. But this cop went from calm to full on prick and snatched her up and threw her down on the curb where she hit her face and started bleeding from the mouth... My first reaction was yelling out 'WHAT THE FUCK DUDE?' the other guards gave me that slow your roll look and I was like 'FUCK THAT MAN! HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT!' The cop yelled at the guards 'GET HIM THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!' I quit a few days later.

I was on a renal diet for a while. Although most of the dishes were bland, I felt better then. I might be going back to a modified form of that diet again.

Honestly, I feel a lot safer in so called "Bad Neighborhoods" I grew up in a few and nothing major popped off. Except for a gang altercation on one of the streets I lived in where someone was killed. Of course you hear sirens and see suspicious peeps and activity. I was once asked if I can go take some weed to someone and I said I didn't want to get involed and he was cool about it. But in a "Safe" neighboorhood I get hated and dogged on because I don't fly the american flag from my garage. In suburban mostly white neighborhoods I usually get the White Gaze! Shit. My son goes to a predominately white school. He got searched by a teacher when he asked to go to the restroom but she didn't search the white kids... You know... The ones that actually do have shit!

Living in San Diego, I'm pretty much surrounded by the closeted Trump supporters. When we talk to each other at skateparks or in the neighborhood, they always stare at my Malcolm X ball cap. I only know one guy who is really pro-trump and his FB is filled with conspiracy theories and such telling people to go back to their country and what not. But in person? timid as fuck! I always ask my son if his son have any racists views as his father does. My boy told me that that kid lost a sponsorship and banned from a local skatepark because he got in a confrontation with a skateboarder and called him the n word. Every time I see him and his son at the skatepark I give them a Black Power greeting and say ASALAMALAKUM!

The first album will be out around the last quarter of 2020. EP after that. then the next 2 albums about 6 months after that. I'm actually having a producing marathon every night for the past few months. A musical Tour de France if you will!

Hey guys. I don't remember the last time I've posted here. I have drifted away from this place. Nothing against it. Just me growing old I guess. Some of you may remember me. I've been on watmm since its inception. back in the joyrex.com days. I'm just chiming in to let you guys know that I've been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer back in October 2019. I've been fighting with some advancements and set backs along the way. I was on immunotherpy from December to February. I had a reaction to the treatment that almost made me lose kidney function. So they took me off immunotherapy and put me on other medications to normalize my kidneys. Right now, my kidneys are functioning normally and they put me back on a modified version of immunotherapy. I've been on it for a month. This time around, I feel a bit loopy. For some reason I keep calling every store and restaurant Old Navy. My face has swelled up and looks like a butternut squash. My body was like the Come To Daddy creature but I've gained 10 pounds after the doctors told me I can back off the diet I was on. I think some of you may know that I have cancer if you friended me on Facebook or follow me on Instagram. Although I feel tired from the treatment, I'm able to do everyday things like before I had cancer. Hell, I'm even doing a lot more. I am healthy and the therapy is working. I'll let you guys know what's up whenever I have updates.

I have been for the past 2 weeks now. I occasionally go to my office to transfer files via dropbox if I forgot anything. Its pretty cool working from home again. I usually finish the day's work load by lunch time. The rest of the day is going back and forth with proofs and edits. I'm thinking of starting up my freelance gig again that I did about 6 years ago. But I don't want to overwhelm myself with extra work.

There's no difference to a lot of white folks. I corrected a dude once who called me Mexican.Told him I'm Puerto Rican. He said what's the difference. I then cold clocked him and got suspended.

Actually sounds good! Looking at the thumbnail I thought you were posting something about the zoot suite riots from the 40s(?). Wouldn't consider this as something going on in America though since most of the american population look down on Chicano Culture.

My wife you can say that again also, she's currently cooling her heels at the los angeles fbi building My wife runs a mobile boutique and she is always hit up by these 'influencers' on instagram. They basically say stuff like 'Send me a few dresses... I'll post about them and you... You get more followers... etc. My lady never responds... but she's had some show up when she's at an event and they would interrupt while she's working with a 'Paying' customer.
