  1. Album is out now and it's great! Very intricate and detailed, as we've come to expect. Sound design is in a similar vein to Popp, but less directly clubby, and without the breathy computer voices over everything. There's a lot of different dynamics throughout - some soft pretty stuff, some very crazy noisy parts, some recognizable instrumentation, some pure digital effects. In general there's a ton going on and I'm sure it'll take a few listens to wrap my head around. I can't even begin to imagine how much work he must put into creating these tracks. But overall, highly recommended, especially if you liked the last one!

  2. Showed up for me, twice, oddly enough. I wonder if the tracklist is indicating that nothing else from the mix will be on the album, or if they're just being secretive...

Also just finishing up another listen and that last track after the Fracture remix is fucking killer in higher quality.

  3. Great list. I'm playing catch up with a lot of 2019 metal, but I just listened to Planetary Clairvoyance recently and that shit is fucking insane. Reminds me a lot of Planetary Duality (Probably intentionally), which I would say is The Faceless best album, but a little more old school and thrashy. It's fantastic.

  4. I'm really excited for this! I didnt particularly care for O or Voa, but Popp blew me away. Played loud it's an incredibly immersive set of tracks. Every time I put it on I notice new details and hidden layers. Cautiously optimistic that he expands on that sound and doesn't return to the sleepy electro-acoustic stuff.

wish Black Breath would put out something new. I love everything this band's done, when they're not doing death metal they can pull of a perfect fusion of metal and punk styles.

Totally agree, Black Breath is the shit. I think I recall them cancelling some shows recently? Hope they're still making music.

One of the best shows I've ever been to in my life was seeing Black Breath play a house show in a gnarly punk basement, right before Heavy Breathing came out. I had never heard of them before and just got totally blown away by shit like I Am Beyond. One of those "Holy shit, who the fuck is this?!" moments. Got to smoke a lil weed with the guitarist after the show too. Good times

  6. P4P best roll in a while, against stiff competition. I think my favorite was the "Sometimes Abstract..."

    See you in hell.

Oddly enough, I actually live right next to that girl(s). I saw her walking her dog the other week. She's somewhat of a minor local celebrity, had a TLC show/special or something a few years back.

  7. I hope this means the other releases get an expanded version too. Seems like I missed my chance with High-Tech High-Life. I actually really like the other one too, even though it's a complete 180 from his normal sound.

  8.

SD card is so incredibly lush. Imagine a slightly slowed down Sunshine 2.

this hurts. I guess i missed out on the SD card. just like I missed out on the SD card last time. I guess these two and the wire recording are the only physical colundi I'm missing.

You should throw up a photo! I wanna see that

  9. Sunshine 2 is a really cool little release. Sounds kinda like a throwback to his pre-Colundi stuff, the drums in particular. Really diggin it. It's incredible how consistently great he is given the massive volume of music he puts out.

I've Recently been listening to Simulation a lot too. It didn't immediately grab me like Sunshine 2 does, but after getting familiar with it I really like the way the tracks flow into each other. The progression across the whole thing makes it really rewarding to listen to front-to-back. I don't get that so much with the Colundi stuff.

I've also never actually listened to any Ovuca - what am I missing out on?
