The Special Defects facebook is still active, mostly just posts Meshuggah stuff but gives out little hints of a future release from time to time.

Last year I was going to see a show where Black Breath was opening for The Faceless and they cancelled it; I was so bummed.

For some reason or another I think the Analord sleeves are better and less sticky than other PVC sleeves I've had in the past. Or maybe it's just that the other ones have been sitting in there for 10+ years longer than the Analords. I have a couple records that have gotten so fogged up from their sleeves that they're totally unplayable now. At any rate I can't imagine being the vinyl-head he is that AFX would knowingly put out records in sleeves that would damage them.

Old Tunes > everything else
(Kinda kidding but kinda not)

RIP Meme Man

Excellent news, I love everything he puts out.
Any other stuff on Raster Noton I can check out to tide me over til then? I tend to gravitate toward the more hard hitting stuff like Diamond Version, Byetone, etc. Yaporigami has that sound too.

The most absurd part was connecting those papers into that "map" all over the house. Like...if you draw big black lines from one end of a page to another, and make like 1000 of them, you cab literally connect them in any way you want. How the fuck would you know which piece goes where?? Winona's running from room to room with a page that looks exactly the same as every other one like "This one goes.....here!" And the angles and shit are just so perfect that Bob just immediately gets it when he walks in haha.
I dunno why that's the one thing that stuck out to me but fuck that's a ridiculous scene.

Watched the first episode last night - seemed pretty solid, more of the same, mostly. Kind of hoping they try more original ideas this season instead of just rehashing every plot element from other movies. But who knows, either way it's really well made and fun to watch.
Also granted, the soundtrack is great, but part of me wonders just how much better it could've been if VHS Head did it. *Listens to Persistence of Vision for the millionth time*

Side note - favorite line from the finale is when Philip Jeffries says "It's slippery in here!"
I just love the mental imagine of David Bowie fumbling around inside a giant tea kettle trying to spit out numbers and symbols through the spout.

Naido = Judy
Calling it now! Or is that already the generally accepted theory? Makes sense to me. Evil Coop is the one looking for her, Briggs helped to keep her safe, plus the monkey noises parallel with the monkey in FWWM (Who whispers Judy near the end).

Me neither. Anyone in states get a dispatch email yet?

This was the quickest instabuy of my life. Good thing Ive been passing on a ton of music purchases lately. I guess you never know when stuff like this is gonna pop up.

Wonder if that's a legit repress or leftover stock?
Yeah I wonder. Still says CAT 189 on the page. And September 2015? What's with that?

Anyone else wish 12 Rough Beat Tune from the SC dump would get a full master? Any idea where to place that in his discog?
Oh I'd love that, my favorite track from the whole SC I think. To me it sounds in the same vein as Acrid Avid Jam Shred, maybe a little newer.

Ohh I didnt know the finale was 2 hours, that's excellent. Calling it right now that it'll be the most unbelievable 2 hours of television I'll ever see.
Source?
I don't remember anymore. Some link thats gone now. Though Im confused now, could just be that they're playing parts 17 and 18 together for the finale. I suppose we'll see

i believe that's a snow globe
Confirmedi believe that's a snow globe
I knew it was a snow globe before I even posted it.
Why ruin the magic?
Jeez
I don't think it's a snow globe. There's nothing inside of it! That's pure Lynch trolling right there. It's obviously there as a joke for detail obsessed fans

Had a 404 earlier, now Ventolin remixes is up. Those weren't up before right?

He also killed that guy in the woods too. I guess nobody ever found out about that

I thought Bobby was pretty good in the original series too. His character was a bit cringy in general but I think he nailed the role

This store is a bit more exciting to constantly F5 than the soundcloud was. Like you have to dig a little bit to see what was udpated. Plus if he's pulling background shenanigans now too, who knows what other easter eggs and things we'll come across.

So nonchalant about it haha, oh by the way SAW 1.5 is coming out on vinyl. No big deal
-
Strange that Donkey Rhubarb Remix isn't include on Donkey Rhubarb, at least not yet.

ChoirDrilll almost certainly came from the same time/session/setup/whatever as this:

Nice, just got tickets to their St. Paul show! I've never had a chance to see them live before. The venue they're going to be at is absolutely perfect too, a 100 year-old theater that was just recently totally remodeled after being shut down for 30 years. Looks gorgeous inside. I just saw Slowdive there last year and it sounded incredible.
