Definitely Machinarium, I think the second two might be a little to action heavy for a new comer to games. If she enjoys Machinarium then Botanicula might be a good follow on ... Yeah, you might be right. But the story in Braid is so fucking good. Best told story ever in a game.

Doom 3 already came out twelve years ago. It's all good tho, I knew what you meant. The next Doom looks like actual fun, unlike its predecessor. I know this is just nitpicking, but actually chuckled at this... What's even better is that John Romero retweeted this.

Sure, just not one that's likely to be constructive - I know when I like or dislike a track, but wouldn't be able to offer much in the way of analysis as to why, let alone suggestions for how to improve it. Hence I can't do much better than and suchlike. Well, do you like the track? Yes? No? What do you like? What don't you like? Did it sound good on your monitors? Did the track take you on a journey? Are you wondering how something was made? Do you simply hate the snare beyond belief? It's pretty easy really.

Another useful thing is to listen to all kinds of music. If you're listening to the idms and nothing but idm you're fucked. It'd be like if you were a sound designer and only listened to recordings of earthquakes. That doesn't really broaden your horizon -

So a while back I installed Logic X on one of my laptops. The shortcuts were similar to Logic 9, so the learning curve was fairly easy. Yesterday I installed Logic X on a different laptop and all of a sudden the shortcuts were all FUCKED! Now, instead of pressing Esc to bring up the Tool menu like I've done for the best 10 years I had to press T. I wasn't able to skip through my projects frame by frame neither. I was on the verge of biting my laptop in half. I looked everywhere online for an answer and it turns out that if you have Logic 9 installed on your computer, Logic X is able to replicate the shortcuts from Logic 9. Apple, you stupid motherfuckers! But I can't download Logic 9 anymore since Apple has removed it from the App Store, those filthy animals! *deep breath* I then found how out to export a file from Logic 9 containing all my shortcuts from a different computer and export it into Logic X and now everything works the way it used to. I love Apple's products, but seriously... if it ain't broken don't fucking fix it! And if you decide to fix it make sure to allow people to revert the settings back to what they're familiar with. So yeah, my first world achievement is being able to bypass Apple's stupid fucking ideas. I honestly can't believe the things they sometimes bruteforce onto their software. Some people actually use this sort of stuff for a living.

WTF?! Then Mulholland Drive also plays in the same universe. The cowboy and the mephisto dude are exactly the same entity, both also have the same skills. Why would Mulholland Drive take place in the same universe as Lost Highway and Twin Peaks? Nothing super natural happens in Mulholland Drive. we're talking Lynch, don't try to apply logic True. And every single analysis/interpretation of what's going on is just as true as the next one.

Christ, it's like he's assembled every single cast from all of his movies for these two new seasons of Twin Peaks. I wonder if he's simply tying all his universes together? I think he mentions in the book Lynch on Lynch that Lost Highway takes place in the same universe as Twin Peaks?
