I have to agree with this on all accounts. the Gas stuff I fell in love with on first listen - ignore all the reviews and "ooh it's a backwards guitar multi-tracked" type hype, just listen and enjoy. The Pole stuff for me took a little longer to really get into, it was enjoyable at first but not completely grabbing - now those three discs (plus a lot of Steingarten, and mmm the shackleton remix of Achterbahn is magic) are pure sonic heaven. Make sure you have a decent system to listen to them on, as the bass will wash over you. :)

Pomme Fritz is highly underrated imo. It's a full on EP though, with the first track getting you started bang, the next two tracks being the mindfuck parts and then "Bang'er'N Chips" and "Alles Ist Schoen" chilling you out. Just when you think you're safe - "His Immortal Logness" fucks you up all over again.

I dunno why, but this one kind of never hit home for me like Live 93, UF Orb or Adventures....still grand listening though. and i don't think their earlier stuff sounds dated really at all....

Soccernomics. It's kind of facile in its approach, and I don't think the authors so far have made a very good case for their thesis, but it's kind of interesting anyways. A light read before some heavy stuff which I need to read...
